Apple and Samsung are so expensive because of just brand . This new brand is throwing out them . In china apple is already thrown out of fifth places Samsung struggling in second . The most important thing is BOM or cost of production , are similar of them with xiaomi. India has proved we can do same things in very cheap price than western world. For example Indian cost of mars mission is $74 millions whereas American spent $672 millions for same work.

Not only this phonese, also for other things.
If you order your product from china you seek allways cheaper than were you live but it seems no more.
Chinese sellers wants to sell their products expensiver for example past years a 7" dual core chinese unbranded tablet was about 40-50 dollars and now same tablet is about 80 dollars.
Sometimes I see items in those china webshops are expensiver than my land.
I think Chinese market things in-land trading is more better than outside trading so thats why they raising prices.
For me no problem because these stuffs attractive but not vital, I can live without a Smart TV Box, a clone smartphone or an unknown tablet etc etc.
Because the reason why I choose is price, if will it be expensive then not worth to buy.
Not to bother to send it back to repair...

599 dollars for a local company phone.
They must be really crazy, this phone worth no more cent than 300 dollars.
Why?
1- No device support AT ALL, not even personal who can atleast speak english, they forwarding you to the forums.
2- No regular software updates, or well buggy.
3- No product support for warranty or another problems, you need to send it back to xiaomi and pray for god to rest of progress.
I dont think qualcomm sells chipset lisences too expensive, just xiaomi wants to crack one at once :)
These prices are EXTREME HIGH EXPENSIVE, Epic fail.

Launch this phone in India at 30k ($485) and its gonna sell like hot cake. But that might not happen unless they open proper service center in all major cities.
Currently I am using Mi3 which I got for roughly $230 and that is the maximum I am willing to spend on a brand without proper after sale services.
