jam, 20 Jan 20154gb RAM is Awesomw
5.5 inch is rediculous
cpu is low its like a computer with:
but using 4G memory module
you can even run DOTA 2 on it.
KY, 20 Jan 2015android phones started to use 4GB ram while apple still using 1GB ram after years and run smoothly.it stayed on 1G ram because does not do a lot of stuffs like androids do. everyone knows it.
android phones started to use 4GB ram while apple still using 1GB ram after years and run smoothly.
OMG its so funny,so someone here believes that flagship phones are adding RAM because the phone has lag issues. FYI RAM of Android Phones are added in order to handle multi tasking, because everyday someone out there is continously developing a hardware and software for androids. If your phone is not capable of multitasking why would you blame the Brand? Why do you do a comparison? if it is not capable of handling too much task then buy another phone which can satisfy your needs. you can only do things limited on iphones. but on androids you can do everything. i mean everything. can you do it on yout iphone too?
Ah, the idiots stuck on the lag talk. The only reason iOS is quicker than android is because it's a stagnant dated OS, it's like running Windows 95 on today's hardware and claiming it's better than everything else. Grow up you knuckleheads. Same old argument each time, I have a low end S3 mini and it never lagged, that's with less than 1GB of useable RAM, go and use a damn Android phone before you come here and spout nonsense.
PL-GM, 20 Jan 2015The lowest common denominator. Anything above that will run it fine. Whatever the hardware, it... moreyup.
huge difference, ios doesn't really lag, thats why the iphone6 1gb of ram is faster t hen 3gb of note 4 ram.
memory management apple knows how to do it. android on the other hand. no. in 3 months time flagship android you just bought will lag. samsung can keep adding more and more ram every year, their phones will still very quickly.
Too big (if 5.5") !
Wrong Way !!
Poor Management !!!
Galaxy S6 & Note 5 should be 2 lines !!
Maybe S6 and S6+...
S6 should be 5", 2K Mon, 64-bit OS, below 120g.
User Friendly is main point !!
Many useless function at Samsung, cut it la !!!
Yo, 20 Jan 2015Nope, the iPhone lags and lags a lot. There, have some of your own medicine.yeah... iphone 1 lag if u put ios 8... lag like flagship android
thenerd, 20 Jan 2015Well, they can always flash the updates themselves, so your argument does not holdyeah... like everybody knows that
Anonymous, 20 Jan 2015It's funny. This will have the same RAM as my laptop, but it will do less and still be laggy. ... moreNope, the iPhone lags and lags a lot. There, have some of your own medicine.
geordie81, 20 Jan 2015I am all for increasing the ram slightly, the sad thing is though that samsung has a lot of ap... moreSo does that mean that Android alone is making full use of 2GB of RAM where it can? I don't understand that much about RAM allocation to be honest.
What is the minimum RAM usage in idle mode for any OS?
PL-GM, 20 Jan 2015The lowest common denominator. Anything above that will run it fine. Whatever the hardware, it... moreIt is a little different for iOS because you can specify which models are capable of running a specific software / game - on a specific iOS version.
Due to the limited devices and consistent hardware, it's easy to develop games or high-powered applications and slowly phase out older hardware.
There could be games which run only on >= iPhone 5 with a minimum of iOS6 or 7.
You can't do that with Android so much, unless you specify the exact specs, which would be meaningless to 80% of users, considering the hundreds if not thousands of devices in the market.
Kunjumon, 20 Jan 2015Lots of features! 4 wheels ? Two wings ?. You still typing against iphone.(good feature). iphone itself is a feature? That's amazing!
I am all for increasing the ram slightly, the sad thing is though that samsung has a lot of apps that use a lot of ram for some reason thru android and 3gb of ram is actually more like 2.71gb, my galaxy tab s with all applications closed shows im still using 2.04gb out of 2.71gb, and i dont have that many applications on board as it is only 16gb storage so in this sense 4gb is welcome, but i dont think we need to go any higher for a few more years but its a numbers game so im sure it wont be 2 long before we see stats such 6gb ram, 3.0GHZ octa core processors and dedicated graphics chips, its just how tech advances
harlekkin, 20 Jan 2015This is why Android is a nightmare to develop for. You've got phones on 4.4.4 that run on 1.2G... moreThe lowest common denominator. Anything above that will run it fine. Whatever the hardware, it is still Android. Granted different versions of Android doesn't help but is that any different to different versions of IoS?
