The speakers are small and while yes, it is tightly packed, there is actually some room to spare. I'm not complaining about side bezels, those actually protect the screen, but the top one has got to go. The bottom one can stay the way it did in M7, with dedicated capacitive buttons. Only please make the HTC logo a home button and add the menu button instead of a current home button. M8's setup is idiotic, where you've got that wasted space with HTC logo as well as dynamic on screen menu bar.
I agree. Either get rid of the HTC logo on the front, and solely use on-screen buttons. Or make the HTC logo the capacitive "Home" button and back and recents in the proper locations. "Back" to the left of the HTC logo and "Recents" to the right of the HTC logo. Other than that nice design familiar but still nice.

However I still think you could have wo... moreThe problem with Ultrapixel camera from the start was due to a very small sensor. Sure, The pixels were a bit larger than competition, but not by much (1.3nm vs 2nm). However the sensor was smaller 1/3" vs 1/2.3" in most phones. And if you are a photography enthusiast or a pro, you'd know that a larger sensor would provide a lot more gain, when compared to a larger pixel at the same sensor size.
Here they have gone for a larger pixel at a smaller sensor size and in the end, didn't win anything.
I'm willing to bet that this rumored 20.7mp sensor will be a Sony 20.7mp unit. I just hope that HTC does a better job with firmware and pixel scaling. Sony makes some of the best sensors on the market, but it rarely translates into a good overall package. Be it a pro camera or a smartphone.
Those who complain about the HTC logo on the front: you do realize that it's not void inside there, right? They put awesome speakers into these phones (the One line) which took up "some" space, so they have to move other hardware pieces somewhere else. It is a tightly packed device, don't expect to have zero bevels either. (Who would like that anyways? Drop your phone a single time with practically no bezels and your screen is gone.)
Another important reminder: these are "leaked photos" and "infos", not actual HTC press stuff, so don't blame something that's not even released...
Nice cell but like always HTC remain king of bezel :(
get rid off the htc logo at front please
So the arrogance with Ultra-Pixel didn't work hTC huh? However I still think you could have worked hard on that, I mean rather than putting a 20.7 MP camera you could have tried to put a 8 MP Ultra-Pixel one? That would not have been so bad.
Get rid of that HTC Logo!!
Same boring design,,

Im glad that htc has followed the same type of implementation with their phones(especially the one lineup)." I only agree with you.
The only gripes with the M8 were the camera and HUGE upper and lower bezels. If it takes HTC two generations to fix one problem, they should just lay down and die. Listen to your customers, HTC!!!

Hm. You do know the G3 has a 5.5 inch display and is still smaller then that mammoth of a phone the M8.
IreMinMon, 20 Jan 2015Lol, why can't they make anything waterproof then?Because we don't swim with our phones.
Deja Vu?
AnonD-185330, 20 Jan 2015Samsung is cheap and nasty;HTC and Apple are the best.Lol, why can't they make anything waterproof then?
Dissapointed. Seems like HTC has lost its' sense of progress.

To say that very slim bezels = worse battery is very wide of the mark.
It isn't about making the device smaller, but having a high screen to body ratio.
In other words, the device stays the same size (meaning the battery does too), but the screen size increases.
