marclee37, 21 Jan 20151.33:1 is cutier, glad to see samsung is following suit apple always has better sense of bea... moreAgreed, every time i have tried 16:10 tablets its so weird because in landscape the vertical space feels super cramped and awkward for browsing (and most other tasks as well), its too low, and in portrait its much too narrow. 4:3 on the other hand feels just right no matter the orientation and with the narrower side bezels of iPad Air things improved further, but on 16:10 tablets narrow side bezels did nothing and if anything it destroyed the portrait orientation due to lack of functional ability to ignore palm touch/finger rest.

I looked at Tab S in the store and was amazed of the low performance and choppiness, even simple games had more dropped frames than a 4k video played on a Pentium from 1995. Anyway all Samsung tablets are like that, and Android in general, been there done that, next time you will do the same as me and buy iPad, the only useable tablet made to date.

1.33:1 is cutier, glad to see samsung is following suit

the most ideal aspect ratio is 1.41:1, to imitate a a4 paper.
current phone 1.78:1 is definitely too long. many ppl knew it is ugly, but no other choice really.
one good point for having long screen might be- even turned on the on screen keypad, there are still good enough area for content display

Android means choice.
And there is not one OEM close to Samsung when we talk about CHOICE. Right?
Besides Samsung try to hunt for some apple users, and 4:3 is the way to go. Bet on, if there is 4:3 tablet it will be only one of the versions.

When samsung gets 16:10, people start complaing 4:3 has wider srea.. we want 4:3...

Learning from the best great job Samsung (no pun intended)! I just got my Air 2 yesterday and I'm not at all pissed by this. More competition the better.
Really nice to see Samsung concentrating more on what customers want this year. First credible rumors of them making Touchwiz as user friendly and smooth as vanilla Android now this... all they need now is create a semi-highend affordable to battle the likes of Xiaomi.

Speaking of the 4:3 a.r. having 7% bigger area than the 16:9, do you know that the Note 4 has 7% bigger display than the iPhone 6+ despite having almost virtually the same width (just 0.5mm wider on each side!)? While also being 4mm shorter and just 1.4mm thicker despite having a bigger, removable battery and a dedicated wacom stylus? The Note 4 also packs 78% of more pixels in it's display and also is a better, more advanced type of display. And I bet some of you also don't know that the Note 4's Super Amoled actually beats the iPhone's LCD in Absolute Color Accuracy in the test performed by displaymate.

4:3 aspect ratio? What year is it, 2005? Lets be honest, most tablets are meant for consuming media, not productivity or reading. I would love 16:9 instead.

i think most of the content is in wide resolution,
this year we wait for uhd/4k in tablets. it cant be in 4:3 ratio(or i hope not some crazy resolutions again).
