Funny to hear all the excuses from sammy boys if samsung really going do this is, because so far 4:3 has been so outdated and bad for them :D

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2015You get much more screen real estate with 4:3 ratio vs 16:10. I haven't had too much problem with reading it in 16:9 either, probably 4:3 is better for it but i dunno, with the thinning bezels, somehow being able to held your tablet with 1 hand comfortably seems more practical.

You have 7% larger surface area with 4:3 screens. When viewing square, 4:3, and 3:2 content, 4:3 screens will show more content. When viewing 16:9 content, then 16:10 screens will show more content, so it depends on what type of movies/pictures/ etc... that you are viewing.

Once you use your tablet in portrait mode, 4:3 matches the aspect ratio of books and magazines and makes website viewing much easier due to the wider screen.

4:3 is damn stupid for small tablet (7 or 8 inch). It kills the one hand operation.
For big tablets is OK though.
Best is 16:10 for small tablets. It's great for big media tablets too, even with some compromises.
            16:9 is great for hybrids.
