iolo003, 24 Aug 2009now i can junk my old gateway laptop and move on to this nokia sleek!Steady on my laptops gateway and served me well for 2 years..I dont know what to say in that nokia are seeming to bring out one thing thats seems to criple its other offerings,i.e. the e series is nearly n-series,,this new n900 is like the way to go and then they start to bring out mini netbooks..OK they may need to diversify for profit but not right next door to its other offerings..WHats symbian 4 ,,i thought they had dumped symbian???
zaheed, 24 Aug 2009i just don't get this.

All i know is...I AM GETTING THIS!!!!!
i just don't get this.
The company which has been trying for so long to make computers and laptops obsolete by making n series; why are they making laptops themselves?
Have they lost their confidence in market leading capabilities? I don't think Nokia should do this. I don't use my pc at home from they day i have my e75. Then why would i buy a laptop? Just doesn't make any sense!
It's just like nokia almost managed to kill a monster but now trying to resurrect it! N900 should be the way to go, not a netbook. And btw netbook and laptop's competition is way fierecer than smartphone business. I just hope nokia doesn't degrade their cellphones quality by being distracted in two different market! And as samsung is almost on the corner to topple them over nokia does this! U guys tell me if it's wise or not?
i hope it's not much expenssive than the mini-notebooks in the market, if it's up to 600$ it would do ok, but then this will make it cheaper than n97 so i doubt that!
Brace the next nokia storm people!!!!
I juz got my N86 and now i am looking forward for this things. Even my mom which knows nothing about phones and laptop after watching this, she became interested and looking forward to get one herself too.
Time to get rid of all Dell and HP laptop in my house.
Super Notebook from Nokia,an this will really help them with there mobiles as well,Samsung an Lg have electrical items for sale that helps them get better features on there mobiles, but Nokia as had no other product to help them out,but now this will help Nokia out,an just hope the price is not over the top, can"t wait now for the Nokia World in Stuggarrt on the 1st -3rd September for Nokia news mobiles for the last 1/4 of 2009 an 2010,as they have really got to shock the others like they did with the N95
WoooW I Love this!
I would LOVE to buy one of this!
And if it realy gona work for 12 hours,
than im sure i gona buy it!
woow this is hot, how much will it cost? cant wait for the release. yeah!
Who will be the first to embed the functions of a mobile phone into laptop/netbook/booklet?? Apple? Nokia???
piyush, 24 Aug 2009horrah atlast nokia rolled there netbook tablet coz its losing its mobile market share...........this is not a nokia banter, they only made this to solidify there smartphone market, in a few months time, there war against apple and rim intensify with meamo and symbian^4 devices being prepared in the arsenal.
now i can junk my old gateway laptop and move on to this nokia sleek!
David, 24 Aug 2009In kinda fits in on GSMarena. Cause with a built in 3G and GPS is actually makes it a cellphon... moreThanks. I know that Devid. All I meant is GSMarena has been lazy to publish what's been happening in netbook and smartbook front.
Some might think as if Nokia is the only one who has come up with this. If GSMarea decided to bring these news as well, then it's a good move. But lets bring them all not just Nokia.

kal, 24 Aug 2009OH so why not talk about Nokia Sparrow or the upcoming Sony Ericsson's smartbook. Lets bring ... moreIn kinda fits in on GSMarena. Cause with a built in 3G and GPS is actually makes it a cellphone, at least here in Sweden. I don't know about where u live but here i can make normal phone calls on a PC using the 3G connection, all i need is a headset with mic and a dialling program which almost look like the Iphone dialling and contacts interface.
So for us in Sweden, this is super advanced phone.
This one is Made by QUANTA.
Another SmartBook (something in between smartphone and netbook) is coming up from Nokia which will be made by Compel Electronics based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor.
Sony Ericsson is rumored to be working on their SmartBook as well.
hm, I never had Nokia, don't like their mobiles, but this netbook looks like something interesting to me...:)
