Its awesome no lag and guess what its 5.0.2 so that puts all moto g gen 1 users inh the lead. The only thing that annoyed me is the easter egg game which is difficult and my high score is 1

Those who are facing lag problems or their mobile is bit slow, perform "clear cache partition" after updating your device completely. This will solve most of the problems. Search google for steps to clear cache partition on Android Moto G.
Regarding 2 photos icon, try disabling google+ from Apps settings or check if any update is available.

After updating the device i suggest to reset/format your device to avoid issues and install google now launcher to have the full lollipop experience though the app drawer animation is a little bit laggy. Enjoy your lollipops everyone cheers!
