Other companies would be stupid if they paid Qualcomm money for an outdated/flawed chip. So it is obvious for me they will also receive the updated edition.

Atul, 24 Jan 2015I have used both same devices of Exynos and Snapdragon and I would would vouch for the Snapdra... moreThat's exactly why they need to Axe the Qualcomm line. If all they had was exynos then they would *have to* optimize their socs better and make them perform what their on paper capabilities are/where.

Qualcomm soc on exynos devices only make things worse. Less variety in the market (no Ti omap, no Tegra, no Exynos of old), makes the manufacturing cost higher (and you know who pays for that and (lastly) it allows Samsung to be lazy about their own chip (partial sources, no proper optimization).

All in all, Qualcomm socs in Samsung devices is bad for the consumer...

Samsung does not create Ax for Apple. They just build it with their blueprints. What is best from Samsung is that they also develop their own stuff, like Exynos and some fast risc cpu, using licensed technologies and innovates from that point. That is the real genius from Samsung.

It sounds like Samsung has the Exynos ready - so why not just use that and forget the 810? Is the 810 cheaper? Does Samsung not have enough production capacity?

It started to be developed some years before to IOS.Unless you work(or worked) for Apple no-one knows when iOS really started being developed, all we know for a fact is that Android is more than a year younger than iOS in the market.
