I need a phone

Phone seems to be functioning normally but you can tell it was taken apart. There's a slight gap between the display edge and the body of the phone which causes pocket lint to get trapped; wiping it down removes that. But at $150 off retail price, I'm not expecting perfection. Apple's limited warranty for this phone expires in November 2015
They are not refurbished by Apple. Mine was refurbished by The Recon Group. The phone looked perfect. Only the cord looked used. Mine had been originally registered back in September, so Apple would not let me get Apple Care. It is still under Apple warrantee until September. So far we are happy with the phone.
Story, 26 Jan 2015It says refurbished iPhone 6 with $150 offYes, now it does. It didn't when the article was published... :)
"I'm not sure what you guys are on about.
Refurbished devices are certified by Apple and go through the same testing as "new" devices to ensure their quality.
But being refurbished, they sell for a slightly cheaper price.
How is this such a difficult concept to understand?"
Fair enough. I understand the concept just fine -- I always buy my phones used and cheap, anyway. :) But for those actually buing a phone from a store, the warranty makes quite a bit of a difference. And 90 days is not what you would get with a NEW phone....
"And the unlock is provided free of charge, isn't it? So where's the issue?"
Huh? Says who? As far as I am aware, carriers will unlock the phone on your request, but a) only if you have been on contract with them for a certain time, and b) they are not required to do it for free (up to their discretion). I may be wrong, though -- if I am, please enlighten me.
It says refurbished iPhone 6 with $150 off
AnonD-43136, 26 Jan 2015By refurbished do you mean bent back into its original shape? Funny James
I ll rather stick wit a Used phone than wasting my money on a Refurbished phones bcos they are phones with factory errors, no waranty. Its at your own risk...!
Faulty returns or where do they come from?
AnonD-356282, 26 Jan 2015And the unlock is provided free of charge, isn't it? So where's the issue?Refurbish means a used product with limited warranty.
Refurbishing can be quite fine, but the price should not be compared directly with the new item price....
It is like buying a used car, that have been through a thorough check-up at the manufacturer, with limited warranty....
Anonymous, 26 Jan 20151. Refurbished. 2. Still locked to a carrier. $150 off w/o contract? Yeah, riiight...And the unlock is provided free of charge, isn't it? So where's the issue?
Sam, 26 Jan 2015This is refurbished! That is not "$150 off" ...I'm not sure what you guys are on about.
Refurbished devices are certified by Apple and go through the same testing as "new" devices to ensure their quality.
But being refurbished, they sell for a slightly cheaper price.
How is this such a difficult concept to understand? Apple do the same with their Macs, iPads, etc.
I own a refurbished Mac and it works just like any other Mac.
By refurbished do you mean bent back into its original shape?
1. Refurbished.
2. Still locked to a carrier.
$150 off w/o contract? Yeah, riiight...
This is refurbished! That is not "$150 off" ...
yuk!!!refurbish!! r u sure!! hel no!!
Hahaha, I think that locked phones are a absurd, here in Brazil since 2007 every carrier is forced to sell only unlocked phones, even if you have a contract.
