This is a surprising move as many will opt for the 735 given its excellent Carl Zeiss camera or will go for the 830 or 930 Lumia instead. $275 is too high a price at launch.

I agree, this is very stupid. The 730 exists for that very reason; cheaper alternative to the 830. Having too many of these "mid-range flagships" devices also reduces the need for users to buy the actual flagships; there's more than enough range of devices/prices for ppl to pick from.
