Anonymous, 29 Aug 2009What is optical touch screen? CAn you give me the link that nokia is working on it?No official wording yet, so sry, no link :(
But about the optical, it's a technology used at touchscreen, two or more image sensors are placed around the edges (mostly the corners) of the screen. Infrared backlights are placed in the camera's field of view on the other sides of the screen. A touch shows up as a shadow and each pair of cameras can then be triangulated to locate the touch or even measure the size of the touching object. This technology is growing in popularity, due to its scalability, versatility, and affordability, especially for larger units. (This is it as described at wikipedia).

About the portrait, no one really knows just yet, no video or anything viewing it in portrait (except during calls) but also no word about it is not there, so we shall also wait and see.
It has FM radio and FM transmitter.
About the resistive, it can be very responsive almost as capacitive, but I heard that Nokia are already now working on an Optical Touch-screen which is better than both, resistive and capacitive.

                Is 1320mah battery strong enough?
                No portrait mode?
                NO fm radio?
                No digital compass?
Nokia phone always lack something to be perfect

And this is Not iPhone killer! If nokia want to kill iPhone and to remain nmber one , well offer me capacitive screen and multitouch phone this year ! Nokia. Can't make all their touch phone resistive screen!! Is resistive screen really that good ? Is capacitive is really that bad?

check this image. n900 is shorter than n97, but it's slightly wider..

lets not react negatively to the size. its not a big difference anyway, besides this phone was not meant to be held with one hand.

anyway. im loving this phone. finally something that is not symbian!! hope nokia use maemo on all their future phones.

And of course the battery life. We don't even know the standard talk time yet, but you assume because of 1320mAh it will last up to 2 hrs on multitasking...

Yeah, I think I WILL wait for the review.

All they seem to talk about in the vids is Maemo this and that while every fan is drooling over it you best wait for reviews of the damn thing cus what they do right now is overshadow the huge 181 grams and 1320 battery just imagine yourself being seriously multitasking and every 2 hours you need to hang it on the charger.....

English, please. Even wrong spelling/grammar will do as long as you don't murder the language with TXTSPK typing.

@all discontented peeps, if Nokia puts all the features you keep pestering err posting here, then the resulting product would be worth more than the amount a person by the name of SJ could rip from you!
