deba, 27 Aug 2009great phone....but would love to see the 4 inch screen.Nokia N97 may cost less after this phon... moreActually nokia just stated that this N900 is just a tip of the iceberg. They said that N900 size will be the smallest of Maemo device, and they will make the device up to 10" for using Maemo. So expect a larger N900 in 3-6 month, and then expect another larger than the larger N900 in 3-6 months again.... and again...

Their biggest 10" will be like the nokia boklet, but with ARM Cortex A8 1GHz or Cortex A9 MultiProcessor and will be released in June 2010. This will be very interesting because with Arm processor there will be no need of fan, and because the Arm draw power VERY small, the boklet will be even thiner than the nokia boklet with intel atom. And lighter too, and have more battery life...

If you consider this to be an internet tablet, not a phone, it's not so bad. I'm sure they'll gonna release something slimmer and more phone-like running Maemo in the future.

While this looks like a fantastic device, I feel it's not a mass market solution. More like a public test to hone Maemo before they start selling it to big crowds.

I find it shocking that this phone appears so similar to the appearance of the HTC brand.

Well, well, looks like Nokia finally is on par with the big guns! It's a shame they decided to go for a resistive touchscreen,3 row QWERTY keyboard, 5 MP cam and document viewer only...

Ohhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyy Godddddd!! Just while i was thinking why nokia is shooting its own leg by making Symbian open source, here comes the MAEMO. There is nothing as cool and powerful as this OS.

The "dashboard" concept is the sexiest concept on a mobile. And also now i figured out "why nokia is not introducing cool animations to the s60v5 just as iphone has". Coz it was busy making a better one with MAEMO. Everything makes sense now and i guess people at nokia know the market better than we do.

Perhaps you don't notice the specifications of the N900! And Linux Maemo is a operative system more flexible than Symbian, Windows Mobile or Iphone OS.

Great, Nokia are now seriously considering to have a check on symbian since there were alot of criticism by the users about their sterotypic interface

Here comes the Monster From Nokia and they should tout this one as their Flagship device Not the N97 anymore
