[deleted post]you need a girlfriend man, 600 posts about a phone in a web forum is hardly reason for champagne... tip a glass with your PC monitor for me... and wish your hard drive happy birthday when it comes around.
In the video the guys from nokia seems to use their fingernails when using the n900. Do you have to do that when the screen is resistive?
I bet this will be the most hit phone of Nokia like N95...
I am looking forward to it...
Anonymous, 31 Aug 2009Well you obiously cant think about applications that need a stylus... jees thank the hevens yo... moreomg! you are so damn funny! -_-
IF you think AMOLED & stylus is a must for you, then i have the perfect solution for you...go and buy a phone that has both! why bother coming over here & state your wishful thoughts!? tired of bunch of losers like you coming in here & complaining about this phone...what's your point anyways?you think Nokia would read what you want here & then change it or something? go get a life!
namez bond, 31 Aug 2009if stylus is a must then what would you use on an iphone? 2 chopsticks? lmao:P...oh well never... moreWell you obiously cant think about applications that need a stylus... jees thank the hevens you weren around long ago we would not have had a pen if it were for you.

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2009satellite phone included??
are you serious
stop living out your fantasies and blaming nokia ... moreI agree we should include satellite phone with so many events taking place in the world this will help.
Also you reaction is like some one 10 years ago thinking that a phone with internet is impossible ... grow up and start expecting more.
If it is as thich as the N97 ( I used it on sat) it is too thick...
AMOLED is a must as also Dual SIM ( I saw a chinese phone with not 2 but 3 sims) , Stylus is also a must
Oh my God, Nokia was planning to eat an Apple!!
and i think they just did it!!
I have had my N82 for a year now waiting for my next phone to arrive. The N900 seems the be the phone. I should upgrade to but I’m worried. I don’t want to buy it then 3 months later nokia release another flagship with multitouch resistive screen or something like that. if this had a multitouch resistive screen, it will be the jesus phone
What should I do??????
Anonymous, 31 Aug 2009i dont even know wat to say... this phone makes my balls hit the floor. all of a sudden i feel... moreSell your N97 early on eBay. It's still worth a lot... But when the N900 is officially released the price will plummet. You'll be surprised how many average Joe's will not know about the N900 for now.
iulian, 28 Aug 2009nokia n900...man this will be the best multimedia phone ever seen..i LOVE NOKIA ....!!!! great... morei dont even know wat to say... this phone makes my balls hit the floor. all of a sudden i feel like my n97 is worth nothing :(
i want this.. i wanna trade my n97 in for this.
Hands down, this is the sickest phone out right now. if mozilla, linux, carl ziess, and flash have be integraded into this phone, there is NO way this phone is gonna be bad.
I bow to nokia--if you were a person, i'd clap for you.
jamesriver, 31 Aug 2009i just hope verizon gets this phoneVerizon has a better chance getting an Iphone.
I have to admit it, this is the best cellphone in the market, ill buy one as soon they touchdown!!
And if you don't know what I mean by my last point "looking like a pounce" just take a look at this video.
Finest example how one shouldn't look in the streets doing it.
Anonymous, 31 Aug 2009Capacitive screens are tend to work flawless with the OS touch sensitivity. i don't know if it... moreCapacitive screens have many disadvantages over resistive. I have owned both iPhones and many resistive TS smartphones. Don't believe all the hype. I definitely prefer resistive over capacitive for the following reasons.
- You can't use anything except your damn fingers (yeah with the exception of special stylus). No nails, no gloves, no "normal" stylus, nothing pointy etc. You also have to touch your screen at a specific angle because your nails get in the way sometimes etc. You have be conscious the way you touch the screen which you don't have to with resistive.
- Much less accurate that's why the damn iPhone icons are so big, cumbersome and vulgar. Waste of screen estate in most apps. This already defeats many apps that can't be built for the iPhone. For example I can't imagine trying to work on a spreadsheet...
- No feedback. With resistive it feels natural to press. With capacitive you don't get any feedback at all.
- Easily have accidental touches which is really annoying. With resistive you can get away with the faintest of touches.
- You feel really like a poof using the iPhone, a pinch here, a swipe here, a light touchy here... You get the point. It's like a pounce device.
Also many resistive screen are becoming very sensitive and almost the same level as capacitive but I'm not even sure I want them to be overly sensitive. Look at my negative point.
