Blackberry's total sales figure(BB7+BB10) was 1.9m last quarter. Lumia has more than FIVE times this figure and remember there are other Windows Phone makers too. Carriers have tried BB10 before only to get miserable results. Q10 was sold by all leading US carriers and Blackberry had trouble moving stock.

As far as Tizen is concerned, it's chances of succeeding are the same as Bada's. Samsung is in a difficult position already and can yank off Tizen when ever they want.

The best YOU need to do is to learn some real facts and figures about smartphone sales and bury your WP hatred somewhere.

Companies can begin and end their fiscals years any time they want. Many match it to the calender year but some don't.

It isn't just companies that do this. The USA Federal Government begins their fiscal year on October 1st.

The numbers are depressing, they loose market shares each day, If Samsung releases Tizen to a few more markets, there is a risk that Tizen will overtake the third place in the most sold platforms in the next quarter and don't forget that BB ain't too much behind WP and could get past WP if AT&T sells enough BB Passport with rounded corners.

The best microsoft could do would be just get out of the phone segment and the tablet market, as they do loose loads of money on these products (you don't see the real cost as microsoft covers much of the losses by shuffling money within the company).

They should just do core business, games, the rest is just a hopeless mess.

With Lumia 532 Microsoft is going to gain huge gain in developing countries like India and Brazil srilanka. But am an Indian waiting for Telugu language (Satyanadela mother tongue too) support. If so I will buy immediately for my parents ( needed more). I think if they support other local languages then Microsoft will increase more than triple in India with in short period. I seen in very big demand in forums for this local language support. Don't expect more if you cannot give your customers to " chat at least" with their parents.

After all the bad publicity of 535 touch issues and 730/735 purple hazing flashing, wondering how many of those sold.
