I also got the update for One M8 in India, Bangalore. I checked around 7:50 PM and it is available. started to download and install. Its around 574.17 MB (4.18.720.8).

Got lollipop update in Delhi yesterday for HTC one M8 and wanna tell you guys that this is hell. do not download this update. No fastboot, No Facebook for htc sense, Slower than kitkat, Multitasking become hell battery life reduced too.
Wanna go back to kitkat. Can anyone help how to dongrade without rooting or S-offing.

Guys we did it HTC pushed the lollipop update earlier but warning it may be laggy ang buggy because they gave us the update 5.0 not 5.2 so dont go blaming HTC because we wanted the early update to lollipop

Karthik, 31 Jan 2015I think thats only for Carrier version and specifically for US. IN Europe already carrier vers... more5.0 is buggy as hell. While HTC was trying to implement 5.0, google brought out two new updates, 5.0.1 and then 5.0.2. They had to change a lot of codes.

sam, 29 Jan 2015Let's vow all Indians htc users not to buy HTC phone coz we are neglected to lollipop update.I too feel the same. Indian users always given least priority while they target only US and Europe. Being Taiwan brand even Malaysia got the update.

The 90 day window gets over by tomorrow, and no update in India yet. Why should they promise something they can't deliver. I have had many HTC phones before and from my previous experience I know they are very bad when it comes to keeping their phones updated. But with m8 I really didn't expect HTC to do the same.
