Just checked on Xiaomi website and asked my Chinese colleague to help translate. This phone turns out to be Redmi Note for China Telecom version. The 8 GB Rom & 1 GB Ram is a standard version, costs 799 RMB while the 16 GB Rom & 2 GB Ram is an extended version with 899 price tag. Both support FDD-LTE B1/B3 band but NOT SUPPORT WCDMA. Instead, they support CDMA(2000/1X/EVDO Rev.A 3G;800MHz). So you guys can still hope for a better spec for an actual Redmi Note 2 :)

If this is the spec, it stand no chance again Meizu m1 Note Unless somebody is hardcore MIUI fan.

Well, I'm not surprised as it's basically a phablet version of the Redmi 2 with higher MP cameras. Same goes for the Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 4G which shares the same Snapdragon 400 but with the former having only 1GB of RAM (the same happened to Redmi 2 until all Mi fans went ballistic). =P

with reduced Ram and same 720p screen as old model how can you call it an upgrade? I would rather go for Asus zenfone 2... it has full HD screen and and optional 4GB Ram for nearly same price.

Note already have 5,5 720p, quad core on higher freq and more ... moreIf the specs are Snapdragon 410 (an upgrade) but with 8 GB ROM (which is same but cna be considered a downgrade) also its with IGB RAM it is a downgrade because Redmi Note came with 2 GB RAM, there is something definitely wrong, what they are ending up doing is putting a downgraded Note 4G in market at price competitive to Redmi 2
