Annonymous, 02 Feb 2015Octa Core gets really hot :( too bad htc chose octa core Not necessarily, it all depends how well the phone is optimized, even Quad-Core procs get hot
Annonymous, 02 Feb 2015Octa Core gets really hot :( too bad htc chose octa core is octa-core but it's big.Little. When is needed more processing power for more powerful tasks the four Cortex A57 cores are turned on, when the tasks are more light, the four Cortex A53 are turned on. In the most intensive tasks the 8 cores are turned on for better possible performance. Just relax because the chipset it's of 20nm of manufacture and don't heat much. Big.Little iI is not battery hungry, yet more of 20nm of manufacture.
wow great phone
wish apple had such specs... apple fan here

removable battery? no?
This might be a successor to the HTC One E8.
Mike, 02 Feb 20155.5" screen and two front speakers make the phone too big. Should be 5" screen max.Nope, 5.5" is pretty much the optimal size (with front stereo speakers). Easy to use with only one hand and still fits in every pocket. No problem here.
"less than 3000mAh battery"
You've just described HTC..
Rafe Firmani, 02 Feb 2015What is this MTK processor's GPU anyway?
Is it on par with adreno 330 or 440...?No.. its weaker GPU then Andro 330.
Its like a 2013 high end gpu.
Weaker then S801 or even A7 chip.
Not only that.. its dual channel 32bit ram...
So low class octa core in 2015 year.

This phone will be great if htc make it to a budjet phone at highest 30k .
This phone could be samsung z1 killer.
i think the next M9 asian model has this MT6795
htc m9's mediatek version is A55
Totally looks like the MediaTek version of the M9Plus. Or maybe the only version. Who knows.
So,This is the model that features mediatek. So it means the m9 plus might come up with snapdragon afterall
HTC Fan here, but, those are chinese flagship specs. Mediatek...
I'm not to fussed about the slight difference in performance - the screen size & other specs look favorable.
But what does it look like and what are the dims? There are plenty of Devices with these specs coming out - what makes it different? Is there any clever innovation? Does it have a small for factor? What materials?
Long forward to seeing this thing.
Concerned about availability in my part of the world :S
Kudos HTC :)
