You can always switch to grid mode and get back the close all apps option.
Which I did.
Disappointed with lollipop.
No major noticeable differences but pretty disappointed because of the following:
- the lock screen now shows media art. It was introduced in 4.3 but was clearly not there in 4.4.4. BIG Annoyance
- Lollipop was supposed to introduce the ability to edit files on the sdcard for file managers etc. Does not work.
- Left swipe, right swipe to open widget panel, Blinkfeed respectively does not work
- recent app switcher menu had an option to close all running apps at once but now each app has to be closed individually
Although not a big issue, the lock screen was supposed to show battery remaining but does not.
Is there any changes in camera, gallery and Zoe? I kept these apps in original factory settings because of bad updates so I want to know if this lollipop update will change them or not.
I got the update yesterday. Not so happy with the overall lollipop implementation.
First off, the battery drained to 5 percent in 8 hours. Lollipop was supposed to increase battery life by 35 percent.
Secondly, so many features that were supposed to come along with lollipop aren't present.
No priority mode
No trusted devices settings.
No smart locking.
Search settings DOES NOT Work!!!
No guest mode.
Lollipop pin feature is ridiculous.
No adaptive brightness
Battery shows time it will take to charge fully, but doesn't show in how much time it will discharge.
I was desperately waiting for the feature where lollipop would show an incoming call as a notification and I can continue using the phone. Thats absent... BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
The most important and awaited features are all missing from the HTC m8 lollipop update. Im not sure if 500 mb was just for notification system, and material design???
Prakhar, 03 Feb 2015For m8 eye android L will be available before 3rd of March i.e. under 120 days of announcement. Is it official? They are sidelining m8 eye which is kinda sad since its the latest variant of their flagship phone in India!

AnonD-123771, 03 Feb 2015Updated my phone to Lollipop last night. I don't see much of a difference except for transitio... moreTried pressing home button? It does the same job...
Those are facing heating issue, battery drain issue, Wifi issue incl wifi not turning on..just do a hard factory reset after updating..may resolve your issues...
So far, I have good experience with Lollipop. No heating and battery issue so far.
Thanks HTC.
Good update. So many minor improvements. Very satisfied overall. Good Job HTC.
is any problem in htc m8 lollipop??
i got my L update yesterday for which i was eagerly waiting but it came out as a huge disappointment as now my phone has become a hot plate and it is eating up battery like hell....hoping htc will rectify the problem soon as my phone is not even standing 8 hrs with minimal use....
Updated my phone to Lollipop last night. I don't see much of a difference except for transition and notification and quick settings bar.
Although it will be too early for me to judge. All i can say is, there is one issue I noticed that I did't like.
If you scroll too low in BlinkFeed, you can't go back to the top in a single click like it used to earlier when tapping on the notification bar used to get us to the top.
Hope there is no heating issues...
