Of course they fell. This was just a moment thing, everybody wanted one. Now everybody has one and they don't use it at all, so they don't bother buying another one.

rather than about useless and things, it's actually quite about time the world is saturated enough with these gadgets, i can't imagine how many waste if this kind of trend continues infinitely not to mention the limit of resource available, please save some for future techs, like space ship and the likes of it :)
