Not just Samsung. All other brand copy like mad.
Although each of them hate and degrade Apple in their own ways, they still copy!
Xiaomi the frying pan lover.
Huawei the fruit hater.
Meizu and oneplus the nice line lover.
All of them have no honor..
by reading this, Samsung has decided to use touch id, (first on iphone 5s) and it also looks like they too want to follow apple in regards to also having a payment system that is reliable? No wonder Samsung keeps getting accused of copying Apple, holy cow, Samsung is the biggest copyrighting company on the planet, unreal.
and i thought android has NFC payments way before apple pay??? why is samsung making their "OWN" payment system?
we will see. i think this time samsung innovate maybe have good result. cause apple last 2 year nothing do anything. apple just make larger display that's all.
AnonD-262157, 04 Feb 2015I can name another device that had any single thing you think apple invented and put in the iphone.Sharp used high-ppi screens, fingerprint sensors, optical zoom cameras and NFC starting from as early as 2003, so what's your point? Did you see any mainstream devices from them? Did they change the mobile space like Apple did? Was the 2008 Motorola fingerprint iteration successful?
Why is it only now that Apple launched touchID that everyone else is starting to have one? Why did Samsung launch it on the S5 and not the S4 if they are so forward thinking?
Why is Apple Pay responsible for 2/3 of NFC payments in the US if it's just a gimmick as some in here would say?
Why is Samsung again following Apple in the payments space, and not leading it? Let's face it, Apple is a leader in mobile technology and great at using existing technology and turn it into something useful.
You simply can't argue that..
i read an article mentioned Apple has stop other devices putting the finger print reader @ the button because other maker cant make the button round to fit in the finger.
but.... cant the reader out @ the side? see the side has a huge place to have 1. is that also patented by you-know-who?
well, they just copy another feature of Apple.... Samsung Copy-Cat as always

This concept need the help of google, android. And integrate into the OS itself.
Else it would mean poor security or non immersive experience.
And it could also mean very long wait on OS updates, like samsung facing with the VR of note4.
Apple pay works so well is because its integrated into the os, just like airplay and airdrop.

AnonD-100960, 03 Feb 2015For those claiming samsung have copied apple please grow up, you sound like children, techical... morenope.
google pay first off, was your banking information uploaded dangerously and insecurely on your phone, you stick your phone towards the payment, and nothing more. a thief could have stolen your phone and used it at vendors. It was always insecure, and it never took off among android users, it was so unpopular, that android users never heard of it themselves until apple pay came out, which then android users desperatley tried to use the, "apple wasn't the first to do it, it was google"
apple pay requires your finger print on top of that, banking information is encrypted, 2 totally different things. the fact that Samsung has decided to use the exact same finger print reconiation feature on their newest s6 shows they are copying exactly what apple did, since their finger swipe was a total failure. They are doing nothing but copying exactly what is apple doing. Good luck with the "loop pay" Samsung.
Samsung's Galaxy s series has always been that. Pretty much taking as much features from other flag ships and putting it into theirs.
apple launches the "smart phone" samsung follows
apple launches the "tablet" samsung follows
apple launches stores for easier service, Samsung follows their foot steps and opens up their stores where ever apple has their stores
Apple puts a finger print reconition on their devices, samsung tries, but fails, realizes it's best to have it as a button, now puts it on their s6, futher copying apple.
Apple can integrate between computers smart phones and tablets, samsung is trying the same thing.
Samsung is not about innovation they just want to save money it doesn't matter how, if they think can save penny they'll do it, they try doing everything what apple does in useless way (finger print scanner), still using plastic that's why they loosing there market share, they only went hit coz they copied apple in 2010, im Samsung user
I wish Samsung all the luck they can get. Everyone knows Apple is rolling in dough while having the nerve to borrow money for the shareholders and therefore need some gravely serious not to mention seriously grave competition.
AnonD-275729, 03 Feb 2015Oh dear. yet another (non-)standard. :-( That other one with NFC isn't even fully accepted ... moreStupid comment! How are they supposed to make things right if they won't try new things? Duh!
