Please don't tell me that Samsung had copied Apple's "Apple Pay", this would be an easy factor for Apple fans to say Samsung is copying them. But that's none of my business, Google wallet and Apple Pay ain't that effective much, Samsung's payment system might as well face the same fate as Apple and Google did.

Samsung is a big disgrace to the open handset alliance. It skins android with it's slow touch-wiz, simply copies the competition rather than being innovative and so many more. I am to use the most basic Android phone without customizations by the OEM. but I will never use a Samsung device.

This is the reason why Google Wallet couldn't do what Apple Pay did.. Android OEMs wanting to do their own thing..

AnonD-275729, 03 Feb 2015Oh dear. yet another (non-)standard. :-( That other one with NFC isn't even fully accepted ... moreThis one IS NFC. In fact, all the "new" payment systems are NFC except for CurrentC, which uses barcode scanning. All the other payment systems such as this one, Google Wallet, Apple Pay, etc... all use the same NFC protocol. The only thing that's different is the back end process, which is transparent to the user except for the initial setup when you enter your card or bank info.

Mobile payment systems are in their infant phase. Surely this is a positive step in the right direction.

I'm pretty much confident that Samsung will be using Blackberry's propitiatory BBM pay

                          Great news!
I've been using NFC enabled payment apps.
First the digital camera became redundant - next our wallet! Less to carry - yey!
(Hope they extend this to the likes of Mastercard, American Express etc.)

That other one with NFC isn't even fully accepted globally and here comes another one. Do these guys realize that actual humans have to use these things?
