namez bond, 03 Sep 2009looks interesting & surely innovative...but u know how all these samsung & se fanboys were bas... moreYoour kidding me right...you dont think that with a clear display that there would obviously be some tests run for that...if the lens of glasses have the ability to tint themselves when exposed to sunlight...dont you think just maybe sony might have found a way to use that...you dont even know what there plans are...you must be a nokia fan...you should run out and get yourself the new mural...youll like it alot, it lights up in many different colors
me wondering.. if i use it public then other people will come to know what i was doing with this mobile..it's only for the person, who don't wanna hide anything to anyone, shortly termed as saint, only they can use this...not offending anyone
Excellent piece of art!!!

If sunlight legibility is an issue for most phones, what about this one? Is it supposed to be used only at night?? Or maybe it's one of those niche products you know... for vampires only!!!
I love the design very much. Finding it very creative and cool. However, will it be visible under the light o sunlight? I'm really curious about it.
looks interesting & surely innovative...but u know how all these samsung & se fanboys were bashing the N900 in its forum for NOT havin ths n tht & the screen is resistive and shud hav bin AMOLED for better visibility...now, ths screen is trans-fukcin-parent...tell me how "visible" ths screen wud be under direct sunlight n wen light is actually comin thru both ways? no matter wat u say u know tht tryna come up wth smthin new like LG Crystal wasnt a good idea wen the transparency goes towards the wrong end of the phone! -_-
ugly but very innovative huh! job well done for SE..
Only Sony Ericsson would release something into the press like this (already saw the model when it appear months ago as a prototype)! SE obviously needed to get something into the news when nothing else is released from them!
Samsung, Nokia and LG are releasing models and news releases when SE is Q-U-I-E-T!
Transparent screen = gimmick = mid to high end phone.
Don't expect anything else as SE does NOT (really) make low-end phones!
Any other news? Been waiting for news on Xperia X3 (Rachel)!!
gowtham, 03 Sep 2009it is not even a colored phone hahahahahahahahahahahahaha and it has the name xperia hahahahah... moreWhy are u laughing? Have you seen this phone before? Have you seen the display with your own eyes? Don't judge only from the photos.
can we see through the screen and see the other side!!!
This is the basic phone from xperia family. Just for text and telephone, all on transparant display. Just what im thinking.
it is not even a colored phone hahahahahahahahahahahahaha and it has the name xperia hahahahahahaha !!!!!!
what is a transperent screen!!!!!!!?????????
Ok, LG´s transparent keyboard is a cool idea... but this? This is just plain-jane stupid!!! Besides, it's just to damn ugly to be a luxury phone!
Nice phone sony but im more interested in the SE X3, announce it now i would like to know when i will be able to get my hands on it. By the way what is the point in releasing a Xperia phone with such a small screen, it will be useless.
It looks rather thick and where's the camera? Non-camera phone?
Transparant display? WOW. Can't wait to try. Below $100 i hope.
The screen looks terribly small. I'm guessing it's 2 inches.
colored display or just transparent without color...
