What sony have is waterproofing and high res camera... I'm getting bored of looking at their phones design.
        Need change.

I have an Xperia Z and now it runs on Android 4.4.4 so I believe that having a 2 yr. old phone is not a big issue. Not a lot of people now use Android Lollipop? I agree with you though that Sony should make flagship phones annually. Their phones should also be future proof. At least make a unique feature that one OEM could not mimic easily. Make it their own and be a step ahead of others so that even if these OEMs will release another phone they are still comparable and can still compete.

Sony should stop prioritizing the Chinese market since China has a lot of OEMs nowadays who are making their own names globally like Huawei, ZTE, OnePlus, Oppo, Lenovo, Meizu and Xiaomi plus many others. I really have faith that Sony could still rise since they are a big company. In fact, a lot of Americans would like to have Sony as their device. Sony should consider partnering with big network providers in the US and in Canada. At&t, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon for sure can help Sony become more visible and widely available. I am looking forward in seeing the Galaxy S6, Vibe Z3 pro, G4 and Z4. For sure those will be the top phones of this year.

Sony is itself responsible for running it's mobile business into the ground. First by rolling out abysmally slow Android updates to its flagship devices, unlike competitors like Samsung. And now, by making its own flagship phones obsolete before they've even gotten a chance to sell, by churning out a newer flagship device every 6 months. Honestly, as a consumer who would buy a $600 phone only to have it replaced with a newer model within 6 months. No other smartphone manufacturer does that, which is why their devices are selling and Sony's are not. Whoever came up with the brilliant idea of a bi-annual update for flagship devices at Sony should be fired.

Sony should follow motorola style of e,g,x and reintroduce there xperia series with Z, M,L or E.
It is the only way to gain success.

The problem with sony is mainly they don't make appropriate devices.
For example sony made the e1 which was a 4 inch device.it has a snapdragon 200.
But Microsoft made lumia 535 with the same processor but 5 inch display, 1GB ram,5mp front and back camera and 8GB storage.
Microsoft has sold more than 500000
                        Devices in last 2 months.
Sony could have made Better profits if sony e1 had almost same specs.
This is where sony goes wrong.
And sony have a problem with their advertising.
This is why the Japanese company loose.
And sony should know that they can only get more profits from mid range and low end good devices.it is futile for them think "we should work more in improving our z series"
If sony wants to be profitable again
They should focus more on indian region and give some motorola like devices if they want profit.
                        They should understand this.

Fewer devices and more high end os the answer imo.

Well, they should do better at something to get their sales up, ooh, like provide more features with their devices. It only proves that having some water-resistance is not making the mark.

Bring back removable battery, get the Wacom system to compete with the Galaxy Note series and not some half-baked feature by using a pencil on the screen that just leaves pencil smudges. Please, I want to really see competition against the Galaxy Note.
