Press the bell for vibrate and on the other side for ring volume. Silent mode is not available in 5.0 Lollipop but its fixed in 5.1. Wait for the update. Till then prioritize your contacts.

Better install 360 security and clean up backlogs such as temp files and so on. Android Lollipop is a way better operating system than its predecessor. Lets be patient till you get 5.1 update. Every operating system will have bugs and it will be fixed sooner or later by the developer.

I have a Moto G gen 1. Updated to android version 5.0.2. Earlier I could switch between Silent mode, Vibration and Loud mode by touching the side button. This is no longer possible in the new version! Is there any short cut for switching between Silent and Normal ring mode?

I recently updated the software version of my Moto G Gen 1 mobile. It was was fine working for 2 days, then after my mobile got switched off because battery drained out. After that it is displaying start up (boot up) screen and mobile goes blank (black screen) after taht. I'm able to listen incoming call rings but could not attend the call because the screen is completely blank. The mobile of fully charged. When I called service center for repair they are saying to come after few days because the software to which I upgraded my mobile has not come to them. I would suggest nobody should upgrade the moto G until the software is completely free of bugs.
