Why repeat the deceitful 1Tflop number?
            It's only 1Tflop with FP16, with FP32(the standard) it's 512Gflops.

Why 8"inches, new Nvidia Shield with Tegra X1 need to be 12"inches, for games, for office, for medical, denistry....., and need to contain this three basic specs:

              2.Memory.- 4 GB RAM ( LPDDR 4 )
              3.Chipset.- Tegra X1

techlover1, 07 Feb 2015I hope that they will integrate the Tegra X1 in the S6 and G4! !!!? And then so on They won't.
I think that neither Samsung nor LG made any contracts to nvidia

1 TeraFLOP! Wow!! Now all you need is a lithium-ion battery the size of the empire state building and you should be able to get 4 to 6 hours use out of a "mobile" device using this chipset. Nvidia really are a bunch of idiots.

AnonD-355726, 07 Feb 2015How the ppl know we gonna get overheat or short baterry life if the didn't try yet??It's the magic over here. People don't think, they know before product exists without testing, before over qualified engineers.

In all seriousness, you can't say it will overheat if it's not even in the market yet.

I like the idea behind this chipset, but the battery life is a concern, sure we like to have the added performance, but I just don't think it will have good battery life do to the added performance, octacore a53-a57 plus 256 core gpu, not really a energy saver if u ask me, but hey nvivida could surprise us all, and give us the best of both worlds

Nvidia shield is very good tablet, not just for gaming. Doesn't heat too much, battery is good, display is good. Only thing I can complain is the endurance, resistance of plastic body which got 2 cracks without dropping it.
                                      Very happy with my choice.
Probably tegra x1 will be much better than k1. It will be a evolution... Progress
