Stripped of options like iOS does with older models.
They had to back track awfully fast after it got out less then 1gb phones were not getting a update.
Considering that most of wp market is bottom end phones that would have stood to leave many behind.

Problem on Lumia 800 rely on hardware not software, uses old hardware (Scorpio) and those ones arent supported for updates...

its amazing how smooth WP is on 512 devices when Android struggles on 1GB.
Guess that's what happens when you have a kernel with decades of development behind it.

It's a shame my Lumia 800 never got 8.1 as it has the exact same features if not better performance than the 520. Oh well. :(
Hopefully 10 will change that.

well one can only do so much with 512mb ram... Anyways I doubt that the footprint of WP10 will exceed 400mb or else they would be shooting themselves kn the foot by upgrading 512mb devices...

I think features may vary is pointing to things old processors cant do. E.g. motion data, living images, hey cortana feature etc.

I would TOTALLY switch to Windows if T-mobile would release them, sadly T-mobile doesn't have an Lumia Flagship's. I'm hoping that the Next Flagship comes out on all networks rather than be exclusive to some like At&t.
