I am installed lollipop in s4 but friends s4 upgrade with lollipop than my phone discharge fast.so plz don't upgrade still hold kitkat os.

I m facing so many problem after updating Lollipop version in my S4. My phone is working very bad after the update. cant set wall paper.. discharging soon, ring volume decreases automatically.. apps closes automatically etc. Kindly help me for the same

same was the case with me. i went to customer care what they told i am writing.
Go to sammobile.com
Go to frimware section
select your i9500 modl
select INS 5.0.1 update(Indian) and download it.(Download will take apprx 2 hrs)
Download odin 3.09
extract the downloaded file
Run Odin 3.09
Connect your phone through usb
open your phone in download mode(power+home button+ volume down) wait to connect.
In odin screen select AP and put the downloaded file
select start and wait till you get pass.
this is offical method put up by Samsung on their official site.

Downloading the device software update (lollipop)through Kies for my S4 GT-I9500 Black. It has been 1 hour already and still only 18% file download has taken place...(and that at 100mbps). Wonder how much more time it'll take to download files and further for the installation to complete. Can anyone advise in this matter. Is this normal and what to expect.

After getting Lollipop Upgrade on my Samsung Galaxy S4, the main problem I am facing is, Battery. It drains very Quickly. Since Lollipop is installed on my phone, I have to charge it approximately 3 - 4 times a day.
Kindly give me solution to resolve this issue.

guys who have upgraded there s4 from kitkat to lollipop and facing issues. kindly follow the below advice which I have done on my three s4 devices(2 normal edition and 1 black edition) facing with same issues after upgrade on lollipop. I have done below steps and all s4 are working as they were working on kitkat :
1> BACKUP YOUR ALL MEMORY CARD AS WELL AS PHONE MEMORY DATA INTO YOUR LAPTOP OR DESKTOP INCLUDING YOUR CONTACTS AND MESSEGES.
2> HARD RESET YOUR MOBILE USING FACTORY SETTINGS.
3> DONE.
Your all problem will resolved by this on s4 all devices. please try it .... :)

I have the black edition S4...whenever I check for OTA updates it shows they've been installed and the same goes with kies
I have an INS model...can anybody guide me updating?

I have a s4 i9500 its in lolipop os this phn is preety gd like kitkat
Bt only one thing i lost in lolipop that is Eye Scrolling or Smart Eye features removed in lolipop
Plz reactivate that Eye Sensor feature

i believe those problem arised due to an improper installation.
i had downloaded the lolipop firmware and my phone i9500 is running smoothly till now .
i hav tried a lot if custom roms in this including cm, paranoid nd all.
but lemme tel u frankly, none of them were as bug free as th official Samsung rom... i agree tat these custom roms r havng better features, bt 4 a daily driver, official roms r best.
Please don't blame the companies 4 your mistakes. And pls do remember tat most of th flagships phones of other manufacturers r stil awaiting 4 their kitkat release...
bugs may b present evrywhere...nd th lollipop is a lot different from previous versions, so v can't expect th 1st release to b th best....
if u r so much irritated abt th samsung or ny official rom, i wld suggest u to try ny otr custom rom... u wil realise how much efforts these companies r taking to attain perfection in performance...
nd i do respect th brains behind those custom roms coz those few can make better roms compared to big phone companies having a lot of dedicated programmers....

Come on guys... obviously the new firmwares have bugs.
Kitkat too had many bugs which were resolved.
Whosoever is facing these issues should get it resolved by going to service centre.
Service centres are providing stable rom.
I got mine. Much stable firmware no issues yet.
