The fellas that own a Nokia N97 aren't quite as lucky as the guys who joined the Samsung camp, as they will need to wait for another month until their update is released. However it seems that Nokia are about to throw some really nice stuff in their direction so it's probably worth it.
The most notable change brought by the new firmware will be the system-wide kinetic scrolling. The QWERTY keyboard typing experience will also be improved as it now displays the alternative character when a key is pressed-and-held. Next, the Music player will be receiving a facelift and will display more album art and information."

5800 was nokia's first s60 xpressmusic touchscreen device
N97 was the first touchscreen in the Nseries
which you fail to understand
And the n900 is the first Inet tablet and phone in one device from nokia and that runs linux

You mean just like nokia fans before the xpress music phones and the n97 came out saying that the touchscreen trend will pass and that nokia does not need touchsreen phones, and now nokia fans are crazy over their n97 and n900? Lol. There are other recent smartphones that do not have video recording capabilities, like the palm pre and other android devices. So do not single out the iphone. Before you badmouth iphone owners, you may want to observe nokia fans first, because it makes you look silly accusing us of sourgraping when it is actually nokia fans who are a bunch of sourgrapes. Unlike nokia fans, we never said that video capture feature is no good. Nokia fans on the other hand were making fun of full touchscreen phones as a temporary trend, but now you guys are embracing it as well :)

All the other stuff on the S60v5 phone's has been around for years, Nokia hasn't advanced much, the specs aren't much different to an N95 at least Samsung has advanced a lot more with the Omnia HD.

Deep space bar, 12 Sep 2009If it was important why was is added ...come on don't give me that bs that people didn't need... moreAll extra features are helpful, but may not be that important. Just like video calling. I had it before on my N95. Yeah, it was there and it was kinda nice to have it, but do most people use it? No. What iphone users wanted the most was copy & paste, sms forward and video capture. And we got it, plus more. There would always be features that users would want added on their phones. Not just the iphone. But it does not necessarily mean that it's important for everyone to have.
