htc m9 hima is the same as an ordinary htc m9 i know cz i have it.
Why do you confuse the head of people? Why do you mention that the HTC One M9 is also known as HTC One M9 Hima? The picture of the HTC One M9 Hima does not look at all like the HTC One M9. You are comparing apples and oranges. Stop breaking b....s just make the battery better on HTC One M9. The M9 has the shortest battery life for standy and talking than any other phone, and the camera is still not better. That's why HTC is no longer on the list of best phones. I had the HTC One and the camera became purple after 2 years. I upgraded to M9 and still the camera is sh..., and the phone gets too hot. Before the camera was messed up I really liked the HTC One, now I regret upgrading to M9. This is the last time I get an HTC. I hope HTC smartens up in the future, because a lot of people complain about the same things.
AnonD-159864, 17 Feb 2015specification is very good, but battery life 2,840mAh, which is 240mAh larger than m8, this is... moreI have been using HTC one m8 from last 8 months..Till date the phone has given me 20 hours of battery back up on single charge..I keep either wifi or 4G on all the time, listen to music, read news, surf internet, messages, etc.
Point: One needs to understand that power management is more important than battery size. For instance, Nexus 5 consumes ~20% more battery per hour compared to HTC One M8.
AnonD-159864, 14 Feb 2015HTC provide low battery life 2,840mAh, but other company provide 3500 mAh battery life... htc... moreBattery mAH does not matter, its the number of output hours which matters. There are many phones out there with 2800 to 3000mah but their ratings are less than 70 hours.
specification is very good, but battery life 2,840mAh, which is 240mAh larger than m8, this is very low battery backup, other company provide 3000mAh to 3500mAh battery backup, all android phone battery so HTC not improve battery.. only improve design (screen size, top & bottom reduce edge that's nice
Anonymous, 15 Feb 2015me i ask? D battert of this phone is built in?Well, yes. That should be a given being that it has a unibody design.
without QHD this will score highly on antutu ......
more than 6800 i guess, snapdragon 810 is a beast for real
AnonD-362694, 13 Feb 2015Lol im a note edge user, but an htc fan, the note edge was the only phone that made me left ht... moreThe Ultra is supposed to have it #1. #2, you also have the option of face detection. I'm leaning toward the Ultra but want to hold both in my hand.
Hope the device actually looks like the sweet looking renders we saw a couple of days ago by Jonas D. There are also a few renders by Hasan Kaymak that will make an excellent One M9. I also wish HTC can hit the 3000+mAh battery capacity threshold.
Or hopefully the rumored One M9 plus with 5.5" QHD screen will have a big 3500+mAh battery...why not 4000mAh.
AnonD-85193, 14 Feb 2015Who really needs a phone with a 2k or 3k screen? for maybe 5% improvement in quality, if you p... morePrecisely.
Most of these smartphone screens have long since passed the "Retina display" ppi, which was supposed to be the threshold density at which a normal eye could discern separate pixels at the normal handheld distance. At this point, further increases in resolution do often become a useless game of specmanship, without consideration to the other important spec of battery life (or CPU / GPU utilization).
Plus, I've owned both an HTC (Evo) from many years back, and a Samsung (Galaxy Note 2), and HTC generally has better Engineered hardware including screens. There's a reason they don't use the cheaper AMOLED variety: resolution and pixel density don't tell you everything about the quality of a screen.
This phone looks like a solid winner, I'm so glad HTC is finally going back to recognizing that Android users like functionality and power (like a micro SD card slot), instead of just trying to compete with Apple on "pretty".
These leaked specs don't specify, but I really hope the camera finally has Optical Image Stabilization. Also, while at the bottom of the list, I will agree with some of the other posters that it would be nice, even if not necessary, to have a fingerprint scanner in this flagship device.
Who really needs a phone with a 2k or 3k screen? for maybe 5% improvement in quality, if you play games it's twice the power needed to play the game due to the higher resolution. I would like to play Battle for utopia and get past a single level without the phone dying THANK YOU! Less burden longer battery life.
sotej, 14 Feb 2015m8 has only 2600 mah battery with an endurance rating of 77, may be ur brain is uselessM8 rated 71 hours and only 9h 6m of web browsing, which is too weak and will result in maximum 4-6 hours of real world web browsing. One M7rated more than 10 hours web browsing but lasted barely 4 hours at minimum brightness in real. You cant use scripts to force page reload on HTCs, it checks for newer version of the page and then reloads from cache thus saving a lot of both battery and time, thats why the web browsing battery test used here isnt an indication of real life usage. In real life we dont reload the same page a thousand times in a row.
Paddyman, 14 Feb 2015Glad that they are sticking with a 5" screen, 1080 is perfect for this size. Does anyone ... moreHow does it look like the M8 if they removed the big black bar that made the M8 stupendously long?
I like the reduced length, i am much more comfortable with thick phones than long ones. However i dont think 1080p looks too excellent on 5 inch, its very good but not optimal, 4.7 inch display like the One M7 is much better suited for this resolution. Anyway, i thin i will try the 64GB Hima when it arrives, IF it really is only 5 inch and as short as it looks like but i am still gonna hope for a 1080p phone with maximum 4.7 inch display.
And as usual we will have to search high and low and everywhere to find a 64GB version so i dont have high hopes for ever being able to get a Hima unless i move to USA and becomes a locked in Verizon slave.
Opinions are just that. Personally, I am looking forward to the UHD 6 inch devices on the immediate horizon.
Glad that they are sticking with a 5" screen, 1080 is perfect for this size. Does anyone know the dimensions of the handset? it looks like the same as the M8
1080 is awesome, thanks htc! Later you can compare lg G3 and m9 screens. U will find that m9 is better. I owned G3 and think that 2k screen is useless for smartphones. Even HTC one max 1080 screen is better than 2k lgs
AnonD-159864, 14 Feb 2015HTC provide low battery life 2,840mAh, but other company provide 3500 mAh battery life... htc... moreU r wrong you know - HTC has high energy efficiency, that is why they use smaller batteries. Actualy, all including me prefer to have higher capacity battery, but if current will offer enough juice, why not
