really? then please clarify how they are going to fix 'WebKit security bug' on Jelly Bean based models?
- 3) Microsoft will have to release a crippled version of Windows (Phone) 10 for devices with 512MB RAM, some of which were really expensive not long ago. This will clearly make them the B-league of Windows.
tbh, better to have system/bug/security updates for longer time, even with crippled solution than be left on yourself with security bugs with one solution: 'Buy a new device!' ...

Lenovo! are you taking notes of these readers comments? Low end MOTOROLAS are getting Lollipop. I am a S660 user. I reason I chose this phone over MOTO G is Battery. Plz Plz.. update for other models as well.
update s920 too
from Thailand
his is a joke? :) I see that all of those Android devices manufacturers learnt COMPLETELY NOTHING. Sorry but even when I’m not the Microsoft fan and I use Linux for everyday I would buy some Microsoft Lumia device because of its extremely strong support not only about system upgrade (forget about it on Android device!) but especially about bug and security fixes. Let me remind you about WebView JavaScript security vulnerability on Android. Such serious issue and the only solution prepared by Google is: ‘Update to Lollipop or buy a new device if you can’t.’. Great solution, really!
Anonymous, 14 Feb 2015Well lets see if lenovo will upgrade S860 to Android 5, its one of the most selling phones.I think Lenovo China dropped development for S860 after September 2014... Of older models S820/S920/S930/P780 are still developed though.
Well lets see if lenovo will upgrade S860 to Android 5, its one of the most selling phones.
Nope no hope for my trusty A3500. Will stay on 4.4.2
My K900 is still stuck up with jelly bean.

We don't know if K900 have the same chip revisions and modems etc as Zenfone 5. Also ASUS has a lot to prove since they had massive quality problems with Padfone 2 and other models.
Also Lollipop is greatly overrated, an unnecessary update by and for artsy hipsters that destroyed a mature and stable OS (yes I have it on my Nexus 9). It's not surprising Lenovo needs a lot of time to get it to work properly, now Lollipop doesn't even work properly on Nexus models.
I think Lenovo was to blame not to provide KitKat updates on K900, not Intel, because Asus Zenfone 5 & Zenfone 6 which is utilized same Intel Atom Z2580 like Lenovo K900 already using OS Android KitKat last year, Asus even make sure that both 2014 Zenfones to get Lollipop updates in Q2 2015..
Lenovo s850 having trable network problems.. And net data system low...how to upgrate and erise this problems
DaXiong, 14 Feb 2015This list is obviously only for India.

What about the Intel Asus Zenphone variants.. as far as they know currently they are running 4.4.2 and will be after upgraded to 5.x! Blame Lenovo smartphone market strategy of not updating their old flagships (but still capable) to force users to get newer devices. Regarding other brand updates, those are not being staged per device age but rather device prioritizing all the capable flagships that were costly to their loyal Customers.
Anyway.. Lenovo will not be a premium smartphone brand with such a approach, who will pay nearly 1000$ for the Vibe Z Pro 2 if they were already frustrated with the K900 lack of updates? Sounds like a risky move AKA a waste of money!
Thanks for updating my excellent device Z2-Pro
Good job lenovo. As a lenovo user, s820, i'm quiet satisfy with lenovo has done. I bought my s820 with jelly bean inside, when kit kat coming, they release it, and my phone is in kit kat now. I never thought that lenovo will release an upgrade for low-mid range phone like mine. So congratulation for those who has phone on that list. And kudos to lenovo. As for gsmarena, i hope that you'll review lenovo''s phones more often. Thank you. Happy Valentine s day. Xoxo.
Anonymous, 14 Feb 2015Please and Lenovo K3 let's upgrade Android Lollipop 5.0This list is obviously only for India.
More Chinese devices will receive Lollipop including K3.
On a sidenote, K900 has 4.3 in China. I assume you can blame Intel for not having 4.4.
