i have used one plus one running snapdragon 801 and have used htc onem9 pre release phone as a developer which runs snapdragon 810.There is a difference in temperature oneplusone gets heated fast than htc one m9 so I agree with the above results as it varies most regarding phone performance and battery
Anonymous, 16 Feb 2015No wonder my Xiaomi Mi3 running on Snapdragon 801 heat up in prolonged usage. Xiaomi Mi3 is using Snapdragon 800, not 801.
No wonder my Xiaomi Mi3 running on Snapdragon 801 heat up in prolonged usage.
all these people commenting, but has anybody really used any of the devices in question?
will somebody with a LG G3 Flex stand up?

"The tests compared the skin temperatures,+(which is what matters since that's the part you will be touching)" oh really?
WRONG dear GSMARENA,
that is WHAT DOESN'T MATTER cause casing is different from one device to another,we don't even know the tested phones had the same casing.
the only thing that matters is the CORE TEMPERATURE,because a core performance is affected directly by its temperature not skin temperature or anything else.
if that extra heat would slow down the cpu or damage it(longer term uses) you would only know by measuring core temperature & nothing else.
you can not fool PC users.

Also all carriers support the same LTE ranges ?

It's been reported that Samsung made their own version and does not need to rely on Qualcomm for this technology any more.

Is samsung sending under-performing devices to US-carriers ? All US-carriers have their own test to qualify the device . Is it easy to bypass these tests?

The non-Samsung Android OEMs are heading for massive public backlash for lying about the SD 810.
People will complain about how the SD 810 underperforms previous SnapDragons when used for a longer amount of time. They will also complain about the battery life, since it's been confirmed to run hot.
It's gonna be ugly, and I can see tons of people who left Samsung to other Android OEMs will returns.

people uses it , review it , more people come to know and buy . this was how g2/g3 sold . will lg do a suicide ? g flex is almost out , many people had already used same in ces . nobody reported .
Also, I doubt that the other OEMs can switch to Samsung.
The Exynos 7420 fab line will probably be taken up by the Galaxy S6, leaving no room for the other OEMs.
And even if Samsung did have a larger fab line, I doubt they'd want to share their SoC with everyone else, knowing that they'll have the superior SoC in terms of performance and battery life by significant margins.
