This more or less testing just throttled max temp. with device structures as lowpass filter. I think that the overheating worries of 810 are much more related to it's tendency to hit the throttling level too soon e.g. with in few seconds/tens seconds really affecting it's real world performance. Normally chip just run short bursts at full speed, but overheating issues might prevent 810 to do that without getting throttled. This test need to ran ~10 minutes before showing any difference, at that point any SOC has already reached throttling level and test just show that 810 is adjusted to lower target temp level than 801 by throttling algorithm.
kakouille, 14 Feb 2015 Exynos varient always better than SnapdragonLOL
AnonD-362903, 14 Feb 2015Just the fact that sd810 is 20nm and even desktop procs are 14nm! Im going with xynos for the ... morewhatever u say , samsung sucks . no one cares of s6 .
so many fake news about s6 they are releasing.
who cares ... its just the same shit like s4/s5. Pure copy of individual iphone clones ..
the main thing is samsung will always copy the selling feature of iphone . They copied the iphone3 and made galaxy S in which the selling point was design. then the fingerprint scanner .. now nothing to copy so back to copy the design .. we all know exynos sucks whether its 20nm/14nm or whatever its samsung made .. just they can fake the benchmarks as they normally do with any SOC.
there are many good devices with good designs lg g flex2, lg g4, htc m9, sony z4 ,windowsphones , anything u choose it will be far better than a phone with copied design and fake benchmark and laggy UI.
just an excuse for Samsung to convince their fanbase that it was a good move to switch. Snapdragon will always be better!
Just the fact that sd810 is 20nm and even desktop procs are 14nm! Im going with xynos for the first time..
I bet they are as good inside aswell! 20nm is obsolete
AnonD-358476, 14 Feb 2015its not that bad but still the exynos would heat fastly making you give your phone some rest e... moreI do not think as 14 nm tends to be cooler at same clock speed (generally)..
AnonD-342374, 14 Feb 2015I'll only buy a S810 galaxy S6... These other exynos based are just BS...
If Samsung doesn'... moreWhat really matters in smooth working is faster single core and exynos in performing much better here this time?.. Think again after s6 reaches the market..
Smile, 14 Feb 2015Dude this is just to show the world that Samsung has been lying to the world that SD 810 overh... moreif samsung REALLY was lying, then why did Qualcomm agree to redesign the sd810 for the s6 then? doesn't it show that Qualcomm too acknowledges the fact that the sd810 overheats and that's why they are doing this to stop samsung from ditching them? because samsung I'd one of the biggest (I'm not sure if THE biggest) customers of qualcomm.
oh and I forgot to mention one funny thing! when there were reports that the sd810 overheats and that samsung is only going to use the exynos chipsets in the s6, then EVERYONE was bashing qualcomm and praising samsung. and NOW THOSE VERY PEOPLE have taken a COMPLETE U-TURN on their previous comments! irony much?
Nah!! This test result's is useless. Wrong analyst. You cannot compare the capability and stamina of a Horse to a Donkey. I hope you all get my point. Peace! 😉👍
PeacefulOne, 14 Feb 2015Yeah... 4.7" 720p I wish there were more phones like that. Don't forget it should have mo... moreYeah I will never buy anything more than 4.7 or so 1080p. Small bezels too. I'd use an 8" tablet though. But not big mobile, I guess that's why I still have my old one. Heh.
...Man Of Steel..., 14 Feb 2015Snapdragon 805 version of the note 4 is much more laggy than the Exynos variant of the same de... moremaybe you got a buggy phone, don't blame the chip cause you are too stupid to differentiate between hardware and software
May be qualcom now solved the snapdragon 810 heating issue. Then, test it. If not why they accepted the heating issue and agree for making improved version for this sd810 just for Samsung.
Anyway, Exynos varient always better than Snapdragon.
AnonD-342374, 14 Feb 2015I'll only buy a S810 galaxy S6... These other exynos based are just BS... If Samsung doesn'... moreSnapdragon 805 version of the note 4 is much more laggy than the Exynos variant of the same device, man it hangs even when i open my contacts ... obliviously you have not used the Exynos 5433 and i do not care about Benchmarks as much as i care about real life performance.I felt a noticeable difference in speed when i tried the 910C over the N910S and i'm not talking about gaming,i'm talking about simple daily tasks.
AnonD-154664, 14 Feb 2015Exynos version is better than this S810It doesn'T matter if Exynos is better than SD because people who once get stubborn, everything will always be worse than their favorite product.
Galaxy Note 4 comes with QHD Display. People said before it was released that this resolution is dumb because of the high battery drain.
- The battery life of Note 4 is outstanding.
Samsung will reduce bloatware on Galaxy S6 and make Touchwiz slimmer. - People don't care. For them it's still and will always be lagwiz with tons of bloatware.
Exynos of Galaxy S6 outclassed SD 810 in cpu and gpu speed. - People don't care. They still say SD810 is superior and much better. And some of them must already own an S6 with Exynos because they know that the Exynos will overheat 2 times faster than the Sd 810 and that the battery life of Exynos 7420 is much shorter compared to SD 810.
People want other materials for new Samsung flaships instead of plastic. Samsung now uses aluminium but now it's sooo iPhone like for everybody.
So whatever Samsung will do, it's always wrong for some people. Even if S6 Touchwiz would run as fluid as iPhones, or if S6 would look better than HTC, battery would hold at least 3 days and would be removable, if it had a micro SD slot, FM radio, made of platin, had the best camera of all smartphones etc. people will still find something which will suck and if not, they will just call Samsung copycat. Just to say something
Anonymous, 14 Feb 2015This means all the phones that come with SD810 will use throttling to control heating problem.... moreCut this throttling bs, Samboy! Everyone with a technical sense knows what kind of bs you're talking about. You buy your Exynos and let the rest enjoy the power of Snapdragon.
