Lg, you're too slow copyi... moreLG is far ahead in terms of it's rivals when it comes to some categories of consumer electronics like microwave ovens. About smartphones, LG G3 was launched only 2 months after Galaxy S5. It edged Samsung's counterpart in almost every department.
The advantages of producing own chipset, as Samsung has done with the Exynos is the great economy.Still more with quad, octa core.Don't need to be a genius to know what one of parts more expensive in a smartphone is the processor.
Keeping in mind that LG has not had much experience in creating their own chip, I can actually see this venture being pretty successful so long as they don't make the same mistakes that were previously made with their last attempt. This could potentially provide them with the boost that they need to become more independent and expand even further, as an in-house chipset will mean more savings from having to subcontract Qualcomm for their chipsets. Hopefully this beasty will be a 64x chipset so that they can fully utilize it to the full potential of its future devices, as the later flagship devices of 2015 should be running at around 4GB of RAM memory. Fingers crossed!
I have a soft spot for LG and want them to perform as well as before but they should have focused on what they do best and imo, it was having good design models.
