So most Android users won't receive this bug fix until September at the earliest.

If 5.1 is supposed to be a maintenance release, then why don't they call it 5.0.3?

And Lollipop bare... moreYou obviously haven't seen the lock screen notifications mess that is Android 5.x where full text "searching for GPS" messages are more visible than missed phone calls and there is no way to raise the priority of missed phone call notifications on the lock screen. So when I have missed a call I am more likely to see worthless messages about apps. connecting to things that were just icons on the status bar previously than I am the missed phone call. Best of all if you block those apps. from displaying in the lock screen they then just disappear compeletely now. Go figure becase I can see no sensible logic to it!

How can any person, or Government, who is serious about their business security, not use a Blackberry.
People who see my mobile comment they wish they had the same level of comfort in their international business travels in particular.

AnonD-298939, 19 Feb 2015Lollipop is quickly turning out to be the Windows Vista of Android releases.Uhm no. Vista had performance issues. Lollipop increses performance greatly. And Lollipop barely has bugs unlike Vista. And if you're arguing please name a single bug except the boot animation bug (if you put a ultra high resolution boot animation on your Android in Lollipop it may kill system processes in order to accomodate the spike in RAM usage (by the way this can be fixed by flashing a fix on xda))

Wonderful, the next Android OS is being rolled out in a month but my Note 4 in India still does not have lollipop update. Google please sync up with the manufacturers. i think i am better of moving to iOS where updates are released on the same day all around the world.

Wow...I'm really tired of Google doing this. Like I read someone else say, Google has ADHD when it comes to software. Mostly, I'm tired of Android being developed at a breakneck pace while the existing phones/OEMs struggle to provide some kind of continuity, with no realistic hope of providing an up-to-date experience for their customers. Not only that, but most of the time, in their panic to develop, Google intro's bugs in each release, which they then attempt to fix in another release, and another, and another...

Another update with very little new. They will change the colour of something, put in a new font and call it an update. Every version does the same thing, nothing changes. All these updates do nothing and are meaningless.

All these updates, and huge publicity.
I wonder if there are really big core underlying issues with Android?
Frankly I am suspicious and dont see it as normal to have several update or upgrades per year.
Perhaps they are worried their spyware is not performing well, though I doubt it from what I have been told.
