For a company like sony, in order to stand again on its feet it needs to change all of its board of managers, those pre-historic men with closed mentality. TV and phones??!! haven't you learned from the biggest mistake you made selling your computer " VAIO " business?!!

Its all about "SOFTWARE" and "COVERT ARM TWISTING". The companies who get that right (Apple in case of phone, Microsoft in case of PC) dominate.

Is this a joke? Sony's price/quality ratio was and still is great! Z2 has better build quality than both S5/HTC One. Better materials. And in my country you can get a Z2 with 400$. And s5 and HTC One are 500$. Only their design isn't very attractive to some (especially girls)...For me it is...

While there are people that actually choose between all types of smartphones, the majority of people actually decide whether they want iOS, Android, WP, BB, etc... before they choose a device. If they've already decided on an Android phone (because they've already spent hundreds on Android apps), then they will compare Sony's offerings to their major competitors like Samsung, HTC, LG, etc...).

It is not that because Sony's flagship phone is not famous nor because they do not use Amoleds like Samsung does. The reason why they are struggling like HTC is because of the prices of their devices. Sure, Samsung and Apple have been more famous in smartphone making and even if they sell their flagship phones at a very expensive point, people will still get it coz their marketing is really great! If Sony will make better marketing of their flagship phone or make the price point lower than what their target is (though at first they will lose profit but it will do good for them later on). Sony is Sony and it will be a high quality maker of electronic devices.

And, Samsung does make decent technology stuffs considering Korea is a country that invests a lot of money on high speed internet. Korea, by far, does have the quickest internet. Therefore, inventing good phones is a big deal to maintain strong.

Let me answer that
1) they dont have amoled displays!!!
2) They are yet to make a Note-like touch-pen device
Samsung are still in business for the above two reasons the rest of them are the reasons why they are decilining recently given their soaring prices as well.
In the end sony devices come off as almost nothing special though good or great for the prices.
I find them having FM in their devices a huge plus, though its pretty trivial sounding by itself.

Then to SonyMobile i just hope say una they listen so, make una step up. Make some marketing research so you can market your devices, because plenty people dey when una go break their heart if una try fold. So no try 'am at all! me self I like Sony like die.

The future is to provide a good service, hearing customers, working with them, provide devices with a good price specs ratio.

they haven't realised that marketing is everything. all the z series are excellent but when it has to compete with marketing giants such as apple and samsung, sony has no hope in making their models well-known

sony could learn from its rivals as well as chinese armies of smartphone like oppo that how to make a product .. i found sony has no camera quality, no clip board data saving, no gesture not at all handy i always need to use two hands to operate phone. while using whatsapp many a times (because of home key and return key is within screen) typed data is erased.. its quite irritating. also the plastic look is pathetic they must close the production or make drastic changes.
