All iPhones were assembled in China by FoxConn. If you saw the video of YouTube of their assembly line on how they made iPhone, you would know the properties they used to make are quite decent...not from those recycled materials.

Sony deserves to be eliminated from the face of this universe!!
Who in there right mind makes a movie and blatantly display its competitor products/devices thus supporting its competitor???
if Sony goes out of business, we're gonna have cheap, ugly, stupid smartphones, i mean,Sony's already providing great quality & no one cares! if there'd be no high quality rival out there, we're gonna have phones made of even cheaper plastic (recycled diapers & tampons) or rusted metal!
as good as sonys smartphones are and tbh from working within the industry they are some of the best... they simply do not sell enough. I work in a phone shop and apart from the obvious apple sheep that lap up the iphone, the only other main sellers are samsungs and the lumia range for the low to mid end- nokia 530 and 635 done very well since they came out- htc, sony, huawei and LG sales are so far down there that most of the sales reps forget they exist when pitching phones to customers. Reasons? advertising. When was the last time you saw a Sony Smartphone TV advert? ENdorsements in other places? its just not "out there" it might be fantastic but none of that matters if people dont know its fantastic
They make some of the best smartphones in the world, it's just a shame that not so many people see that, because of course, everyone wants an iphone. If i had to decide, i wont exit this division, but instead make some changes, apply the same product politics as iphone and xiaomi, lesser products rare released, a midrange phone with above average specs, and two high ends like they are used to do, a compact version and a bigger one. Attack the midrange segment with a better option than a lot of chinese manufacturers, a little more expensive but a lot better quality. I want a sony smartphone right now but i just dont have a good option, they have the z1 and z3 compact wich are both phones for my taste, but they're still kinda of expensive for a lot of people, give me a sony smartphone with redmi 2 specs and by that i mean 4.7 inch IPS display, quad core snapdragon 410, 1 gb of ram, and dont give me a 100 mpx camera, it's just stupid, nobody buys that, nobody buys a smartphone to become a professional photographer give me a 8 mpx camera and improve it, andreno 306, front facing camera, not necesarry watter, dust resistant, slick design (make a cool walkman version with dedicated buttons and cool features, think about making the first smartphone with walkman wireless headphones, this will sell like crazy in my opinion) improve body to screen ratio, a good price, meaning no more than 50$ more than the redmi 2, and i guarantee it, the division will come back from loss, there's still a lot of things sony can do, i hate it that they let izombies win, there's still a lot of things that can be done to improve the xperias image. and last but not least solve the forever problem: software upgrades. Sorry for mistakes, not a english native.
If nokia wanted to return to smartphone segment next year, they could purchase the sony mobile division, maybe they could make it profitable.Nokia Quality and Sony excellence equals mobile master race.
im using sony & sony ericission phones for last 9 years now if no more xperia in furture where i can go ...... sony needs to build a 1 end 1 ultra 1 mid ranger and a low rang 4 to 5 model is enough in a year....
I remeber yearning for a sony... In the times when it was still sony ericsson.. Those k series and c series were so cool with such durable materials... The xperia series were a beauty to look at.. But a smartphone does not work that way.. It has to be sturdy too.. We use it more than our mouths nowadays.. When sony shies away from gorilla glass or a similar protection of its glass mammoth they are potentially killing markets by getting bad feedback from ppl whose screens have cracked or shattered with no aftersales service from sony.. My z1 was given to sony centre for repair or exchange last November, even now there is no response from them

I'd rather have no phone than give up my z3, I will never have a crapple or a s*itsung again, Sony know how to make a proper phone! Beautiful display, high quality materials, best Camera in the field, high end specs, no lag or crashes whatsoever, really basic/minimalistic android skin. And sony know how to do waterproofing properly! And they are the only phone maker that can make a REAL mini flagship.
Well it had to happen, there is just too many android smartphones out there. Stick with Apple you know where you stand. Premium quality brand. And the largest tech company in the world. And this year Apple will be the top smartphone maker you watch.
And this is why you should avoid xperia if you want timely updates... Android 5.1 is just around the corner and Sony phones are Still on kitkat.
In this case this comes as a bad omen for Sony Smartphones. Who wants to join a brand name if its owners seem to consider throwing away the sponge? First Sony withdrew from its partnership with Erikson, now that that it's producing first class products it comes up with this? Quite a pity to be honest.
AnonD-246216, 19 Feb 2015No appeal from the design perspective? I'm sorry man. But pretty much a lot of people do like ... moreThe Sony Z3 is nothing but a lump of dollop. It has very odd shape to. very long and narrow. The Silver turn on button on side sticks like a sore thumb.
now the iphone 6 is a difference story. It has the perfect shape. The rounded edges makes it lovely to handle and feel. The z3 in contrast has nasty sharpe edges. Lastly the Iphone 6 oozes class and Z3 looks low class in comparison.
If the reports that Sony are abandoning their smartphone business and even their TV business divisions (both of which are excellent) are true, this will be very sad news. What next?! Their camera divisions? At this range Sony will be reduced to making camera moduoes for other manufacturers, which it already does. I had high hopes for this incoming CEO, but clearly he appears willing to satisfy investors only concerned with short term gain over considering the longer term survival of this iconic company.
