Asus mentioned prices before taxes as follows - Zenfone 2 2gb $199, Zenfone 2 4gb $299, and Zenfone Zoom $399.
Am not going to believe in any 5" leaks or false 3rd party preorders till Asus comes out officially with detailed info.
Where is the link to the preorders? Just yesterday, we heard a lot of the 5-inch Asus Zenfone 2 leak.
Anonymous, 19 Feb 2015I think the 5" Zenfone 2 is supposed to cost 200$.I'd rather buy Moto G2 for $200.
Anonymous, 19 Feb 2015Read the whole story. The phone IS $200. Go back and read the story again.Probably not,I think they messed up at CES the 2GB model will cost $300.
I was considering the Zenfone 2 as my next mobile but if Asus will release the phone at more than 400 USD then I might just apply for a line/plan where I can get the Galaxy Note 4 Octa Core variant.
AnonD-17809, 19 Feb 2015Oh, very disapointing, I was waiting for this phone whith the price of 200$Read the whole story. The phone IS $200. Go back and read the story again.
"Clove UK has a pre-order page, but no price in sight. Same with Orange South Africa. The official Asus Twitter account maintains the phone will cost $200, so we'd hold off on committing more money for it."
So Asus maintains the price is $200 yet you're reporting re-seller prices? What's the point to this?
or you can search on google, type: store.asus
Find the right site based on your country
If you want to buy the official and original Asus phone, go to http://store.asus.com
Don't pre-order from other site.
Waste of time buying devices from a supplier notorious for lack of OS updates.
Asus almost faked their new Zenfone 2 prices when they announced it at CES_2015 .. They announced Zenfone 2 (5.5" 1080p device) and prices they announced was for some other device, showing this 5.5" 1080p device on front ..
That's not gonna give them a long run benefit !!
Anonymous, 19 Feb 2015I think the 5" Zenfone 2 is supposed to cost 200$.Yes but, MediaTek chip set.
Don't worry guys, it is reseller price. Launch price for 4GB 16GB ROM is $299 as expected.
One phone we are all waiting for, and suddenly the price did surprise us all. If they go ahead and price it at 300 $ or more, they might actually sell less than half of what they could have sold if they priced it right. I was waiting for this but $440? No, sorry Asus, I'll start looking out for another one. I hope your good business sense prevails while pricing it in India.
