Anonymous, 20 Feb 2015Like you said at the end. They still should have used a larger battery. Though I know your rep... moreUp to a 90-100 Hour endurance rating by GSM standards compared to the S5's 83 or yet to be improved 85/87 of the Note 4.
And that's using a smaller battery.

Which still stands if they had used a 3000-3200MAH or at least 2800MH the battery life could have sky rocketed.

ok, so assuming they're using some very efficient chipset so now they can use a smaller 2600mah battery on the S6 but what about the battery hog 4k display?

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2015U guys are complianing about less battery capacity... And it only decreased 200 mA To me it i... moreLike you said at the end. They still should have used a larger battery. Though I know your reply is more directed at people foolishly thinking this will have bad battery.

Overall it will definitely have good battery life. The S5 on Lollipop just reached an 83 Hour endurance rating. Up from it's Kitkat 76 Hour endurance rating.

The Note 4's 5.7 inch QHD Amoled display is up to 40% more efficient than 5 inch 1080p LCDs. The S5 LTE-A QHD lasted almost the same as S5 1080p.
And the S6's display is 99% guaranteed to have more efficiency that all three of them.

So an extremely efficient display, SoC, new modem on combined radio chip, 3-5x more powerful memory that is 40-50% more efficient, and other added in aspects means the S6 should have considerable better efficiency compared to the S5.

i think the smaller battery is for the S6 edge, like they did for the Note 4 duo.

U guys are complianing about less battery capacity... And it only decreased 200 mA
To me it is not much and also lets not forget the note4 with QHd on 4.4.4 had longer battery life than the note3 with only almost 100 mA addition to its battery
So lets take a look at the S6..it has a bit smaller display... A new chip that consumes less power... Lolipopand the SUPER AMOLED which uses much less power than a lcd.. I think the s6 might just pull it off and have more battery life than we can expect.. Still 2800mA would be better but if the 2600mA can give longer battery life than the s5 i wouldn't mind and i don't think anyone would.

Not being a smartphone geek or max user, here are some thoughts about the new S6; Smaller battery capacity means smaller and lighter battery, which means a smaller and lighter phone; plastic back cover means wireless charging capability, a nice convenience; good frame designers can do as much with polycarbonate as they can with aluminum, and I wouldn't buy any phone with the slick glass back like Sony uses regardless of the other factors; the problem with the "quality feel" of the S5 was mostly the strange finish on the back and the fluted chrome edge treatment (should have been oval or beveled, color-matched), as well as the unit thickness and weight. Maximizing screen size and resolution for easier reading while minimizing overall phone size is an obvious plus. I'm all in for the S6 if it is anywhere close to the leaked info.

Smaller battery than the S5, but if Samsung gets it right, the processor is a less drainer, Lollipop will be more efficient thus long enough battery life. I might be a little skeptic if the back cover is not removable because what if we want to add a micro SD card? We shall see, and I hope, I am due for an upgrade.

I'm really very tired reading S6 news each day about a smartphone that currently doesn't exist, and GSMARENA writers avoid to publish any piece of news about smartphones that are available for purchase.

One exmaple is the SAMSUNG GALAXY K ZOOM, the best Android cameraphone made it ever: No news about Android 5.0 Lollipop update, no more reviews, no more comparing against another cameraphones like Nokia Lumia 1020, etc, etc.

                                        Currently S6 doesn't exist, GSMARENA writers !!!
