Anonymous, 23 Feb 2015The reason I don't take comments on Gsmarena comments section serious is based on the fact tha... morethese people can't understand, that it is not about the best the newest or the most liked phones it is about the most searched for.....and believe me more than 15% interest is from IOS users who troll on samsung pages....if ifanboys where to ignore samsung news and would stop trolling it would look totaly diferent

HTC and The other brands are rare in most of the asian markets while samsung has most of the world coverd same with apple.But still seing an apple product in a mid to low class population is a rarity.

The reason I don't take comments on Gsmarena comments section serious is based on the fact that most visitors are half baked techies,mostly with half baked opinions,so because your favourite phones are not among the trendy ones,you all get off with conspiracy theories,if you don't have any business on a tech site,go bake a cake or something..

Samsung is the only trending smartphone right now? that to top 5 models are of the samsung.. I doubt. Nexus 6, oneplus, HTC? is no where in the list. ASUS zenfone 5 is mentioned which is released 1 year back. Be genuine.. there are lakhs of people who rely on this website for genuine feedback.

No one cares about or pays attention to those ratings as they truly mean nothing. Any registered member can visit the page of any device and score it all 1's if he/she dislikes it for whatever reason.
The "Current Rankings/By daily interest", on the other hand, is what really proves which devices consumers are actually interested in. No matter how much members or non-members dislikes a device, they can't take back the page hit that registers on the "Daily Hits" counter upon visiting the device's page. So, whether you're there to bash or praise, interest is reflected. Lol.

That's how Samsung phones go on the top of the list.

I also heard the similar case from my friend who lives in Australia, but it is not like Sony phones are bad or anything, probably has to do with trend. My buddy in Australia told me that most people are using Samsung phones, with S- series being the prevalence. Also quite a lot using iPhone. Some people still use Sony made though, but not that touch screen ones, the featured ones released ten years ago they are using.
Where in Europe are you mind me ask?

Their OS runs fluently on minimal h/w, so why change...? I'm a BB and Win Phone user, those two OS's also run smoother than Android.

I live in western Europe and I haven't seen someone with a Sony phone for months. They are almost non existant here. Also their build quality isn't even close to perfect. Sony camera sensors are good, but they have no idea how to make the software . The S4 and xperia Z use the same sensor, but the S4 makes far better pictures with it.
