LG G3 for Verizon gets Android 5.0.1 Lollipop

I received my LG G3 verizon wireless phone update to 5.0.1 on July 14, 2015.
Am i supposed to see a difference visually? It looks and acts the same as before the update.
What am I missing? The phone works fine though and I am thankful for that.

My LG G3 on Verizon got the Android 5.0.1 update yesterday. The update doesn't appear to have resolved the annoyances from the "upgrade" to Android 5 many months ago. Still have notification problems. It's been so long since the upgrade I can really no longer remember what I miss about 4.4. However, yesterdays update to 5.0.1 did result in another annoying change - I can no longer swipe down from the home screen and put the device into silent mode. It's either ringer, or vibrate. Don't know if this is an LG thing, or Google, thing, or both. But I can't wait to sack this device and get back to a Motorola.

CL, 22 Apr 2015I updated my g3 from Big Red to lollipop about 2 days ago. Since then I have been having horri... moreI updated this past week and I have absolutely terrible battery life now. I wont use my phone the whole day come out to find it at 20% when I left it, it was at 98%. Whats going on!!

I updated my g3 from Big Red to lollipop about 2 days ago. Since then I have been having horrible battery life, no notifications when Wi-Fi is connected, and my Wi-Fi connection has been really slow. I tried a factory reset and have the same results as far as the Wi-Fi speed is concerned. Too early to see how the battery is, since I just did the reset a couple hours ago. I hope google fixes these issues soon. This really stinks. :(

I don't mind Verizon waiting to bring new software out....it's always the companies that try it too fast who has the most problems....

Sprint, LG G3:
All kinds of problems since updating to 5.0.1
GPS issue, home screen widgets no longer updating.

Anonymous, 24 Feb 2015I'm a man of great patience but Holy Moly T-Mobile is Slacking hard this year.Maybe. But they release the update for s5. I guess more important to them than the g3.
