Anonymous, 25 Feb 2015It's a flop.
Everyone is running away from it.
Samsung is the winner in 2015.I doubt it.
I see no reason why I should upgrade from my (recently) purchased S5 to a forthcoming S6. The S5 STILL has a "good" camera, is still fast enough to play all the games, is still as good as a phone as all the others and I have Kitkat which is more compatible with current software and looks better. So what true reason is there to ditch my 500 Euros device and buy a new 800 euros one?
64-bits cpu's with LESS than 4GB and a majority of apps that wont benefit from it? Ridiculous hi-res performance draining screens on a 5.x" device? Ugly lolipop with no benefit for AMOLed screens? Oh wait... it'll have metal sides, oh dear. Naaah... I'll ride this one out.
I reckon the same is true for Xperia or HTC users. Sure, as someone mentioned. The new camera might be tempting but otherwise this is just a HTC One like all of them.
AnonD-206842, 25 Feb 2015Jesus, I compared my LG G2 with HTC M8. HTC looks really great but bezels, the size of the pho... moreYou NEED bezels to swipe from outside the screen to inside (e.g. to activate One hand mode on S5). So stop complaining about bezels. They have a purpose.
Ohh no no no no no noh , this is a big mistake for HTC
All good overall but black Bar. HTC, if you do that bar, than at least please place sensor keys on it - more screen useful space and that crappy bar will be useful detail too. Otherwise I like designe.
I have the HTC M8 and love that phone. I certainly feel no temptation to upgrade to this, it would be pointless.
Apart from personal reasons, why the hell are HTC going down the Apple route with a protruding camera lens? I mean Apple caused a stir with the camera lens protruding, meaning only people with a case can rest their phone stable on a table (wow I'm busting out some lyrics there). Now HTC M9 owners will need to invest in a case (or use the free supplied one by HTC) to eliminate the same Apple like issue.
Also, as much as I adore the HTC M8, the inch or so space at the bottom should have been used to utilise the screen and have the capacitive buttons on the black spacing underneath the screen. So I am surprised to see the M9 have the same design layout as the M8,
Anyway, despite the few complaints there, I am 100% positive this phone will be the best smartphone of 2015.
I hope this is another dummy. I was really looking forward to a design like the one from evleaks.
And what is with the on screen power button!?!
Only time will tell, hopefully HTC will pull a blinder, but if this is the real deal, I guess I'll just have to wait for the Xperia Z4...
AnonD-355175, 25 Feb 2015You are wrong... S5 screen to body ration is 69, 6 and HTC M8 is 66,7 . You can check this out... more2.9% is so close to 3%. Where he goes wrong?
iPhone 6 has a much smaller screen to body ratio and no one gives a damn. lolx
Jesus, I compared my LG G2 with HTC M8. HTC looks really great but bezels, the size of the phone with smaller screen this is unacceptable to me. Not mentioning the battery.
AnonD-191847, 25 Feb 2015actually last year's M8's screen to body ratio was only 3-4% smaller than S5's or Z2's. So act... morebut it was taller than all the competitors...it was as tall as the G3...
So apparently upleaks received a cease and desist from HTC :)
Parion, 25 Feb 2015previous renders were so damn good! i am dissapointed dear HTC :(I know, it looks very similar to the render except the front, only if they have a full grass screen instead of the metal pieces for the speakers, my dream would have come true

well one m9 wont be anything special
AnonD-349175, 25 Feb 2015Still that infamous Black Bar exists ! HTC, you lost at least 1 customer for sure !!actually last year's M8's screen to body ratio was only 3-4% smaller than S5's or Z2's. So actually the black bar isn't really that much of a problem. Plus it looks quite classy, I think it adds to the design

You can still find the videos here http://phandroid.com/2015/02/24/leaked-htc-one-m9-promo-videos/
Design is too boring. I hope it'll look like previous leaks...
So sad by this. , 25 Feb 2015Really quite disappointed. It's the same feeling I got from the S5 unveiling now. I don't see ... moreWell, because of the camera would be one reason.
simple Google search = the videos ... why would you even imagine something can be "removed" from the internet ?
I'm a bit disappointed about that black bar. The hidden speaker idea was really nice, but it probably was too hard to put in a phone, so they went on and made a phone that has already confirmed it is the best ... even Apple copied the idea, and now Sammy says they will have an aluminum chassis.
