What you think, if bike company sells ten bikes and car company one car, which one makes more profit?
No-one else doesnt sell high end phones the amount like Apple. Samsung profits dropped because their galaxy S5 was flop. Before S5 samsung made lot more profit because very good S4 sales.

Market share between OS is dumb, and says nothing because one OS is one company and the other is multiple companies.
Also, without profits, a company shrivels up and dies, which is why it is a very important factor in analysis.
Profit to sales, acid test, liquidity ratios etc all use profit as part of the equation.

This is a ridiculous statistic. iPhones are priced so much more than the manufacturing cost that probably one iPhone sold makes at least twice as much profit as that of an average Android.What should be used to measure is, how many iPhones and Androids were sold and compare the two. This just proves that Apple is good at fooling people to buy ridiculously overpriced gadgets. Not something to be proud of.
