However, I can't find that phone on the Samsung website, so I would question its authenticity.

I would have to be insane to give 1000€ for a phone, that in reality is not worth even 500€. Even the iPhone is cheaper than this. And it is overpriced as well!! Yeah lets give a 1000€ for a phone that will spy on us. Collect our data, all of our personal information and send it to conpanies like facebook, google and co. Make them even richer than they are at this very moment... Then again, why do we need privacy in the first place...

of course its pricey here in the uk, all device makers hugely over-charge in the uk because they can and no-one will stop them. we in the uk are treated as cash cows by foreign firms, instead of converting from euro or dollar, they just keep same price and put pound sign in front, why, because they know our gutless politicos will do nothing to stop them. if samsung tried charging a thousand bucks for it in usa, they would sell bugger all, sell at loss in america, profiteer in the uk.

M9 price is for USA (649 USD), in UK probably the price for an unlocked version will be around 600 GBP so more than 900 USD. Also for the samsung S6 699 GBP is high, but probably will be sold at 650 GBP.

Investing more on mobiles is useless. Technology will change day by day. We are not folks Sammy and Apple. After 3 months of launching price will drop to 50%. And Sammy market going down day by day.

A fool will always part with this kind money tho,just to keep up with the jonesie's ! Bad enough being stuck on a 2yr contract then six month down the line something new as usual pops up,but you have got another 18 month to go on ya contract until you can keep up with the jonesies's ! Oh well thats life !
