This is absolutely a good strategy.
While the consumer hardware advances every year, the software doesn’t, and lacks the maturity and security enterprises need.
BlackBerry does, and can take advantage of its unique managed network to give it an advantage

I think its a great move, however we have to see how this will work eventualy sa Apple,Wimdows do have some limitativni on "exploting" their platform Being lock to use ("must use" ) their solutions. Personally I think bb has best OS for mobile phones with 10.3 release but they just miss one great looking super touch phone and little bit of great marketing. Practicly their eco system doesn't exist because od very bad development tools for apps as because of so many different hardwares ..square phones, physical keyboards, old touch (heavy and tick ) devices..Back to the subject, if really this featurs could make a great difference and were installed on millions od iphones and androids , running just a simple ad within app to try bb phone would be great so,.in general it's very good move as they don't have anything to loose.

Now i'm confused. Was gagging for BlackBerry to release a high specced all touch device.

now I may be gagging for an android device to run like a BlackBerry 10 smart phone.

Suppose it doesn’t really matter in the end. Can't take ios seriously since their 3rd party keyboards never really worked properly.

Ivwananji, 02 Mar 2015Help me understand does this mean we shall have blackberry data plans on android/windows phones? Bes plans were eliminated by telco's not long after the release of the BlackBerry 10 operating system. BlackBerry 10 devices connect to the enterprise without the old school data add on. Data plans are just standard. Bes 12 is now also compatible with Ios, android and windows phones.

Blackberry has less than 1% market share.
These partnerships will ensure Blackberry can sell it's security, software and services to the other 99% of people that use non-Blackberry devices and will create great revenue streams.

This is another great move by John Chen.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2015Android and android hardware. 2x for android and 0x for WP. I think they meant to say "BlackBerry Experience Suite will be available for iOS, Android, and 'Android' (Windows) hardware later this year.", but maybe the author is just obsessed with android? :)

Will it work? I remember when Nokia teamed up with Blackberry and installed Blackberry messaging on their 6820. That didn't work.
