When it comes down to it, the Z4 tablet is an awesome tablet that beats everything out there, but it's just too expensive for what people are willing to pay.
If people want to have the latest and most high tech device, they'll get the latest smartphone and get it subsidize with their contract... because people Don't Want to pay Full Price or close too.
Granted, this is a 10" screen as opposed to a small 5" screen for MUCH less than what you'd pay your smartphone. So it really depends on your needs.

those screens render tabs to crap by 2-3 years time due to pixel burn out

CA, 03 Mar 2015Please... NO Low Users Here! That's like saying Apple is low price!!! Well I can surely get an iPad lower from this price point with a more stable OS and better aftersales support. The Android ecosystem is too much crowded and creating a tablet that doesn't have breakthrough features other than its being submersible in water did not seem to sound sensible. Attaching a steep price for submersibility did not seem to help Sony. Their current financial status is a testament to that. I'm just helping Sony to recuperate from their financial woes because of their stubbornness to listen to feedback.

Printer support there check, even wireless and nfc printing, check.
Office I am using, perfectly capable for everyday use, just as WP mobile version is
Photoshop, you have tons of apps that do quite good and intuitive photo editing job on android
If you talking about functionality of these bussiness programs, then you are somewhat lost, android can do it all if you make a full grown program/app for it, it is more than capable for any task...
Furthermore if you have such programs, mouse and keyboard are a neccessity, which renders an idea of a tablet useless...
Games?,what games will surface be able to run is to be seen, but it is not a desktop PC, have that in mind
And WP is an underdog for gaming in mobile world...
Sony runs ps4 games, heard microsoft will implement the same on surface for xbox, so it is catching up yes
So again...

But win office works perf... moreLast thing. The Microsoft Surface is not seen as a tablet (because of the OS, the i7, the 8GB RAM or the 512GB flash memeory). It is more seen as a direct competitor to Apples MB Air because it's more an Ultrabook than a tablet.
And if you really compare an Android tablet with an Ultrabook and say that you can't do more on it, I doubt that you ever used a real OS like Windows or OSX in your life

Their is NO difference between Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit on a PC, a notebook or the Surface. It's COMPLETELY the same, because it's NO RT version.

But win office works perfectly well on android, as do any buisseness programs/apps written for it, like autocad or other....
Furthermore microsoft will have to refurbish all of their program support to touch driven OS capabilities for surface, so you will loose some functionality....
Surface is not a laptop, remember, it is a tablet....
On security you are right,
but then again I know tons of friends which got official android smartphones from their companies for daily work use, so, think it is an overexaggerated issue
But still, software, not functionality...
Security is what you make of it, and android offers all, antivirus, antimallware, antispam, firewall, multiple user support...

Do I really have to tell you the difference between Android and Windows 8.1 Pro? Do you really think you can do all the stuff with your android tablet you can do on a Windows PC?You can play fucking Crysis on that tablet if you want! :D

For personal entertainment use either can fulfill the requirements. But say you need a digitizer. Or you need it for office where many workplaces do not have android support for all there software or it simply doesn't meet their security requirements. Ex. In my school we needed a windows machine. IPad or android simply won't do. However any and all systems running windows are fine
