Anonymous, 07 Mar 2015@aaransh Ah you're right. Mine is also SM-900, not SM-9005. My bad. Would you know of a CM ROM... moreNope, haven't seen any root method for the Note 3 without tripping knox, except the root de la Vega method, that's for SM-n9005 model only, as you know it already. But, I've seen something interesting for our SM-n900. Check this out: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9Vmvuixd3LY
This is for resetting the Knox counter, but the Samsung was quick to act as they've already removed the majority of the links of the file to be used. And, about the CM based official ROM, hard luck brother, all the major goodies are to be prepared for the popular snapdragon versions.
shail_naik, 06 Mar 2015I ve N-900 version of note 3.. I didn't get the upgrade yet..why.??? Cn nybdy help me on this? That may be the case because of your modified device. Are you rooted, is your Knox tripped. If yes, you can't update because of 0*1 flag of Knox. You've to flash it manually. In case, if you're non-rooted & have untripped knox, & if even you have no idea what it is all about, then rest assured you'll get the system update soon.

hey guys. need some help here. i just updated my note smn900 to lollipop. the download had completed and after installing my phone just keeps rebooting continuously. once i turn it on , within 15 secs it starts rebooting endlessly. and within this 15-20seconds it heats up extrememly... and there is a error message with respect to google play app.. i tried connecting to samsung kies3. but since the phone doesnt remain turned on for more than 20secs it is not detecting my phone!!
I got the lollipop update yesterday night, it is of approx 800+MB. changes all the look but MUTE option is now disappear from ur shortcut. Popup windows is the new cool thing and one more i really like this one.. ☺
@aaransh Ah you're right. Mine is also SM-900, not SM-9005. My bad. Would you know of a CM ROM for N900? Could only find these two, but neither are official from the CM team:

Also is there any way to root the n900 without tripping Knox? Root de la Vega method on XDA is listed as being for non-Exynos.
I ve N-900 version of note 3..
I didn't get the upgrade yet..why.???

rosanglura, 06 Mar 2015@aaransh: do you have the n9005-exynos? have you found a CM mod for that by any chance?I've SM-900. Although I didn't know that the N9005 also came with exynos version, still have doubt about it. Anyways, may be it will be helpful for you : http://trueandroid.com/update-galaxy-note-3-lte-sm-n9005-android-5-0-2-lollipop-via-cm12-nightly-official/

@aaransh: do you have the n9005-exynos? have you found a CM mod for that by any chance?
Guys who've facing the inactive silent mode after the upgrade, that's because the 5.0.0 have two major bugs:
1. Memory leak issue (that's why your phone is using RAM beyond 2 gigs)
2. Inert silent mode
If you've updated your SM-900 to the latest firmware, i.e. Lollipop, than nothing you can do at this point, unless you are rooted. Rooted or advance users can flash the custom lollipop ROMS for their devices that have minimum bugs or nearly perfect with lots of other extra features apart than typical Samsung phablet & S-pen functionalities. After reading all the comments, I've decided to not to upgrade my phone to the official slewish lollipop update. As I'm rooted, searching for the custom ROMS, instead.
manu, 05 Mar 2015Very huge disappointment battery is running fast eating a lot of ram can't silent my phone wit... moreReset your phone, wipe cache (via download mode) & calibrate your battery, that's all you can do, for now.
AnonD-371568, 05 Mar 2015Hi Friends I have also updated 5.0 Lollipop (OTA) 834 mb but use of ram is now touch 2gb ever... moreThat's because of Google's failed approach to the memory leak issue on it's first lollipop release. But, if you can reset your phone, wipe up the cache (via download mode) & then calibrate your battery, most probably your device will be on it's peak performance. But keep that in mind, the memory leak issue or heavy RAM usage will be solved only by the next firmware update.
Neal Ph, 06 Mar 2015Everything is perfect. Go ahead. Also if any issue samsung will upgrade the version soon.Neah, they will not gonna fix it up soon. Memory leak issue persist in the rollout version of the lollipop for the Note 3, that's why RAM usage is beyond 2 GB on it's idle state. Last time when I update my Note 3 from 4.3 Jelly Bean to the 4.4.2 KitKat, the upgrade brings some issues. I was not happy with the update, so I was waiting for the 4.4.4 KitKat bug free update, but they skip that, & jumped to the 5.0.0 lollipop. I don't wanna messed up my device with crappy updates, that degrades the phone's performance.
Prateen , 06 Mar 2015Updated my note 3 SM-N900 yesterday. So far no issues. Play store wasn't working, and so I for... moreI know, format is recommended after every major upgrade. Although, the memory leak issue is still persist, now that's weird if a 5.0.2 version is available with most of bug fixes, than why Samsung is becoming too lazy to upgrade the bug free firmware. The same old Samsung, last time they rollout the single KitKat 4.4.2 update for the SM-900's, that too have it's own issues. And, now again repeating the history. I was waiting for the fix, that they will rollout the 4.4.4 bug free update, but they skip that & jumped to the lollipop. Simply making the most gorgeous devices of their own laggy & unstable. I'm not updating for fresh feel & look for the phone. And, it's clear performance of the device will be degraded after a while, for sure.
AnonD-371814, 06 Mar 2015I just feel lyk why i updated 2 lollipop. After reading the reviews, I've decided to not to update my phone until the stable release is available. :/
