Primark, 08 Mar 2015This reminds me of the time the xperia U got updated to ICS, a lot of the owners wish they had... moreTrue that, my wife has it, with 512 mb ram ICS made a monstrosity out of user xperience
But...there are tweaks to make it more pleasing
Will share advice on xperia U ICS tweaks if interested ;-)
Please Google, give us more Google Play Edition Sony devices!
AnonD-97765, 08 Mar 2015Moto G & Moto E with 1GB RAM running awesome on lollipop.. Think before trolling..😁Ahah, just waited for this one, yeah seems ONLY motorola updated some 1gb devices...
Must be the google connection thingie...
Enjoy the list of problems and downgrades to user experience after moto g lolli update:
Sony, or other top vendors are luckily not foolish as much to do that to their 1gb device users ;-)
Sony is not sure since when they are kept telling all Z serious will get Lollipop update but still not a single device has found an update all the time they release the update late never kept the promise of releasing updates on time i am z2 user i am not sure when i would be getting before i sell it ateleasttry to release lolipop i would like to see it before it get sold out
This reminds me of the time the xperia U got updated to ICS, a lot of the owners wish they hadn't since it was a lot better when it was on gingerbread; sometimes listening to consumer isn't always a good thing...
I upgraded from my xperia s to z2
Though update for 4.2.2 for s didn't come due to no driver support for s3 snapdragon from qualcomme sony did release kk kernel and developers were able to but some awesome rom fir it
So I don't mind its slow updare as sony is more commited for developing unlike Samsung or htc even LG
Amy, 08 Mar 2015Sony phones which are not from the Z range are normally old and/or lower end phones - they are... moreYes I agree, lower end hardware doesn't run lollipop very well. Even low end moto g which has lollipop is not perfect at all. It runs awkwardly.
darkraver, 07 Mar 2015Never ever was there nowhere in neverland a mention of lollipop for SP... Troll...Try learning to read. I didn't say that, I said that Xperia SP was said, by Sony, to be capable of running next version of Android (5.0/Lollipop). And Sony had already stated, on Sony support forum, that Z series would be only ones to get Lollipop update. Keep on trolling, Trolly McTrollerson.
CA, 08 Mar 2015No big deal for SP model since it's time to upgrade to Sony M4 Aqua with Lollipop! What gives you the right to tell people when they should buy a new phone? Troll on, pal.
so many promises.... saying it's going to be release for z series. they promised that 2 monhs ago.. now stll nothing
that's just plain dumb. moto g/e runs lollipop just fine, and plenty of xperias have better specs than that
Anonymous, 07 Mar 2015Sony promised an update for SP and never released one. Shame on you Sony! I'm a happy LG G2 u... moreReally happy? I'm LG G2 user also, everything is good except no lollipop update and there is no official information when g2 gets 5 android.
May b Sony will roll out updates to their " Z line smartphones " after launching of Android M....hahahaha
Anonymous, 07 Mar 2015its good actually.all those who want lollipop,go buy a 64 bit device.kitkat is optimised for 3... moreDon't give opinon if you don't have any knowledge. 64bit OS cannot run on 32bit hardware at all. But 32bit OS can run on both 32bit & 64bit hardware.
Lollipop is available in both 32 & 64 bit which are being seeded to respective hardwares..
Well, i am okay with Sony for did not upgrade my Xperia M2 Aqua, but what about my Xperia Z3? Yes i know it is coming soon, yes i know it take sometimes to perfect it. But i think it take too long for them to release the update for their high-end.
