This is not news. Sony had already said the same via their support site. We USED TO BE loyal Sony customers, we've got 2 Xperia SP phones in the family which were bought on the understanding that they were capable of running Lollipop. We will not be buying any further Sony products.

And their timely updates on the S3 to kitkat before most S4 era devices contradicts your claims

Plus since when was iOS updates a bragging right?
They updates are fractions of what an android update brings. Even after a whole life cycle of iOS updates. And bring many more crashes and bugs. Not to mention the lag ios7 and 8 have added to the post devices.
And when the 5s came out even the 4s couldn't get the full update. Only the 5, and they discontinued it immediately.
Plus lots of iOS users didn't want the updates. Didn't you see the articles of all the people that kept downgrading be size of all the issues? And do many people were doing it that Apple took away the option quick. Cause they care more for numbers and profit than customers.
And yes. Now WP is good with updates.

Always I commented that Android updates is not good for users. If you want to have the most recent updates always buy the premium and super-premium ranges , not like Apple, that all iPhones are updatable even those that having served more than four years on the market or Windows Phone that even the humble 520 will receive Windows 10 update .
Well that's what people liked .... Android Mafia = Google & Manufacturers ....

Groot, 07 Mar 2015Guys who doesn't have any idea bout roooting their Sony Devices are suddenly going crazy.. Lol!You think youre cool and tech savvy coz you know how to root and do custom ROMs? Newsflash, everyone can do it but its a waste of time and not very practical, real users dont have time to mess with it and need a constantly working device so clearing everything and starting over again and again is not an option at all. Rooting is just lame seen from a productive point of view.
We have the same in PC; kids with latest windows sit there and do all kind of mods and re-installs and format C: while professionals just dont have the option to start from scratch several times a year. I used to always renew stuff on my PCs also but after i started working as a developer i havent had time for such childs play. Sorry to break it to you but you arfe like a kid who think you have a clue and if ever you become a pro you will see that you cannot continue playing around with your devices.

Anything with 1gb ram is not worth the upgrade to lolipop, cause that upgrade will suck, and youll hate your phonemaker for it...
Ask samsung, motorola or lg users with 1gb ram about their user xperience with lolipop...
