Keep that at your ho... moreExactly, I don't even carry around my old mechanical 160GB portable HDD. We're all talking about the better advantage of the micro-SD card.
I stopped myself from buying a mechanical 2 TB HDD, and instead bought a 256GB Intel SSD for my laptop with the same price of almost $180. Still, my old 120GB as my portable storage is a hassle to carry around and you need to wait for transferring that media over.
... but they haven't sold them yet... :P
one of those 15m S6 smartphones is mine :)

S3 they promise 64gb internal.
All those years waiting on a 64gb, none release. All are 16gb variant, rarely a Verizon 32gb version release They only start acting when their touchwiz got so bloated that people with 16gb started complaining.
This year only then they move to 64gb /128gb. S5 is still in 32gb/16gb era.
NOTE 4 still da bez
Anonymous, 09 Mar 2015Internal storage speed / external storage speed are relatively the same. Little to no impact.
... moreIt's not that they've opted for higher storage for the first time. They've been bringing 64 GB internal storage options for Note devices and also S5 versions.
Remember, they're the sole memory chip providers for iPhones too. They've been building 128 GB memory storage for a very long time.
So, when they are making these moves, I'm sure they're making quite the right move. iOS uses loads of space on their internal memory even for cloud shared data which decreases a lot of internal memory for the user. That's not the case with android. So, Samsung and google have the win over here too.

Keep that at your house. Sure to be save from waterproof, shock proof and all kinds of nature elements.
Then port forward out from your home router and enjoy your own media.

Anonymous, 09 Mar 2015There are also 32gb versions S6. Like i said before, samsung support usb otg function, unlike apple devices. So 32gb iphone did not equal to 32gb samsung. No micro sd slot wont be that much problem on s6 cause they support usb otg function.

I'd rather invest on the micro-SD card, or any SSD. I currently use my extra $75 120GB SSD to store some of my more immediate important files instantly for my PC. I've currently stopped buying mechanical HDDs as they will eventually have problems in 3 to 4 years and the likelihood of dropping it accidentally maybe not by you, but by some id*ot who bumps into you.

The only difference is you can store apps if you have more internal storage.
Samsung have release tons of 16gb internal, and hope that slots save their self for a very long time.
Its good for a change of high storage options.

Let me enlighten you and your bunch:
Samsung HQ released same marketing stunt press releases after S5 presentation, trying to increase desireability for their flagship...
Guess what, it flunked, sales were dissapointing, sammy sales and incoms went plummeting down
Then they went to the drawingboard again and made a 180 degree turn with S6 as to try to recuperate interest in their flagship and maintain market share for their flagship....
This one, lots of fans are not happy and dissapointed with appleish new way...
The price is sky high, higher than overpriced iphone6
They will try to increase popularity and desireability with selfpromoting news items like these...which is nothing new in marketing schemes
So, dont trust my thickness, wait a year and see...
Chinese will increase their market share even more, sammy will loose some again...
Anonymous, 09 Mar 2015There are also 32gb versions S6.
Yes, but that's not too bad either. I have a phone with 16 GB internal storage and a 16 GB SD card, which are pretty much enough for me. So, if I don't want to spend more, I can be happy with a 32 GB version as well. Ultra fast internal memory is all I'll want. ;)
However, I don't have money to purchase S6 at the moment. Hopeful for the future.

And as for LG's butter smooth software, good luck after 3 months of usage. :)

I dont hate Apple or Samsung but I think they're over price compare to LG. Just like LG G3 is the best phone out there right now but people still want to go for iphone or Galaxy. Another thing you carry around, and when you do drop that HDD, there goes up to 2TB of data. Sorry, unless you have $500 to buy at least a 1TB SSD to prevent loss of data because of accidental drops, and you don't mind carrying it tethered to your device, it's inconvenient and impractical at the moment. I have 200GB of cloud storage at the moment and it takes ages to upload and download my own large-sized media.
Anonymous, 09 Mar 2015So now suddenly Micro SD isnt any problem, strangely it has been HUGE problem for samsung user... moreSamsung has many option with phones with removable batteries, SD card slots. So customers can chose from any of the device. And Samsung is also known for coming up with upgraded devices based on the reaction from the customers, so you never know they may as well come up with and SD card version. However, we never bashed iPhones with 64 or 128 GB capacities because, phones with such huge memory don't need SD cards. It was always for 16 or 32 GB phones. And Samsung has brought even faster and ample memory chips in S6 and S6 Edge. which are always better than 16 GB internal + upto 64 GB expandable.
So now suddenly Micro SD isnt any problem, strangely it has been HUGE problem for samsung users about iPhone a many years.
Well we all knew why it was so big thing for samsung users, because iPhone didnt had it, but now when Galaxy doesnt have it, its ok of course ;)
personally for most of people it doesnt matter if it has memory card or not. 99% users never remove the sd card anyway.
