no matter how good this device is, this sort of price from Samsung is a total rip off, as a matter of principle I never spend that sort of money on the smart phone no matter how good it might be. it is not a laptop, it is phone and if Samsung can't manage its prices and telling us they listen to their user then I see Samsung will be in deep trouble in coming years.
they didn't even added the water proof feature! what benefit this phone really introduce than just being curved and being so expensive!???
Samsung will not shift this, the price should come down below £550 to make it a viable competition, if this is a sort of money Samsung is asking I will go and buy apple now, I hate apple but if Samsung abandon their fans by ridicules prices like this I rather to go with a proven concept like apple which will do the job just as good, and it is far cheaper than this phone! why would I pay nearly 1000 euro for 64GB memory? the memory prices have come down, why Samsung think their user are stupid to pay such a ridicules money for this phone and its storage?

any pixel density above 320 ppi is..well?so i doubt if you can find any difference between 1080p and that quadhd with your naked eyes.

Actually, this is inaccurate. Samsung charges extra for their phones in Italy. They hike it about 20%, and I'm not talking about the Euro to Dollar conversion. The United States version of the 128gb Edge will cost close to $1,000.

This is the time that many people with reasonable knowledge and uses their money for value will shift to Microsoft/Nokia phones. Trust me it will be better to buy Lumia phones than using such huge amount to buy Samsung galaxy s6 series and iPhone 6 series too. What at all do it has that Nokia Lumia 1520 don't have much of it. But compare price. Let them wait for Windows 10 to land on Nokia Lumia 1520 and they will see value for money on this products. Wise up and stop chasing brand instant of saving money on this over priced phones.

samsung will regret this move honestly....maybe they should check how ps3 failed in the first 3 years of its release. no matter how high spec the phone is, people will never part with that kind of hard cash.
i might have to go the htc m9 way and cut whatever looses i get with the samsung

People demand different things. An all metal and glass device makes it much more difficult to have a removable battery and SD slot. Could they do it, sure they could! What do people want? A perfect phone with absolutely everything in the kitchen sink for 2000 dollars? Sure samsung can make a 2000 dollar perfect phone but who will buy it. They are already pushing the envelope with the latest s6. What samsung is trying to do is hope many Iphoners move to Samsung, and Samsungers keep loyal!

Whilst the price is high the logic is you would not expect to pay for a Samsung phone METAL as Samsung phone in plastic
So yes Samsung owners balk at this HIGH price (you are getting an outside "Orchard" inside!)
The NON removable battery I have NO idea, maybe if I ran into a wall at full speed something may come, but that one escapes me considering, Samsung jumped on the Blackberry comment "wall huggers" one year later….
The S6 is of no interest to me due to its iPhone features and this follows on from the mistakes in the Galaxy Alpha
The Alpha is an iPhone6 beater already, Samsung could have and should have made a lot of Apple Juice from it but shot itself in the foot by having 32Gb NON expandable memory. However it DID have a removable battery, and also came with 50Gb cloud storage (drop box)
The A3, A5, & A7 similar to the Alpha added back microSD expansion, but to "compensate" the battery was now "fixed" in don’t ask
The S6 is far superior to the Alpha and itself is in another league. The S6 is so superior to the iPhone6 there simply is NO contest as the iPhone6 is a the 2012 iPhone5 with a larger display
iPhone features like the S6 do not bother iPhone users, nor will the premium price as there in the S6 will be specs that you a paying for
You could get away with the 32GB version as you will get 115Gb cloud (OneDrive) free for 2 years
For me if I wanted an iPhone I could have bought an Apple, What I don't get is why this retrograde move. Eg the LG G2 an iPhone, the LG G3 better display plus microSD plus removable battery sold in buckets.

besides lamborghini sells because rich people want to show off theirs at private race tracks-no one drives a gallardo to office.and we all know that many people will rather be seen with an iphone 6 than with a s6.see the irony?samsug is not lamborghini.its a phone company that makes you pay 1000€for a phone so that you will again pay 2000€next year for a s7 tetraedge yota phone ripoff...

Okay beautiful premium body! And amazing unprecedented dual curved display! !!!! But there is the lack of the micro SD Card! !!! And the removable battery (and I'm an extremely heavy tasker) plus the water resistant. So honestly it's quite expensive!!!!? And in my case, to compensate for the lack of the SD Card, I need the 128 GB version! And so it will cost approx € 1100 or 1200, so it will really be more than tooo much! So I will absolutely wait for the LG G4! !!! and hope to god! It will be betterrrrr!!!!!!?

I believe it would have been in samsungs best interest to drop these prices at least a bit to get these phones out there. They should absorb at least some of the cost. But maybe gone are the days of these companies wanting to just simply sell millions. Samsung already has a name. Does Lamborghini want to sell millions? These phones are gonna rock, and only people who really WANT them are gonna have them.
